”Ah! It doesn't matter. If the boss really likes you he will wait for you. It doesn't have to be now. That way we can also see how patient he can be. I'll tell him not to give up,” Chummy announced seriously so suddenly making Yanee's lips twitch in amusement again.

Who was it that promised not to meddle in her love life again just earlier? Why was she rescinding her statement now?

Yanee flicked her nose. ”Stop that.”

”Aplained again but this time, Yanee wouldn't buy her pitiful act.

”You just said you won't meddle in my love life so don't,”Yanee told her pointedly.

”I did, I did… But it's a pity,” Chummy looked like she really didn't want to give up.

Yane was going to try and bully her more, but she reckoned that the potato might be back soon and mess with her tempo so she stopped teasing Chummy.

”You don't have to meddle with my love life. If Tohru has questions about me he can ask me directly,” she said and she watched Chummy's reaction.

At first Chummy nodded in agreement as if what she said made sense. Then she froze as she blinked at her several times and pointed at her.

”You…”

”I what?”Yanee asked in wide-eyed innocence.

”You called him by his name,”Chummy said almost accusingly.

”Did I?”Yanee countered nonchalantly still acting innocent but chummy was like a dog with a bone.

”You did— you did!”

”So I did,”she admitted and realization struck in Chummy's eyes.

”Oh. My. God!” She looked totally thrilled. ”Are you together now?”

Yanee nodded her head. ”We're dating. But still in the getting to know each other phase,” she confessed and Chummy squealed.

”That's great!” She jumped up and down excitedly. Yanee was touched at how genuinely happy she was for her.

Alright, Cynthia Tan a.k.a. Chummy could be her BFF Forever again.

”Oh my! Yanee I'm so happy for you!” she said as she threw herself at her in a hug.

Yanee had no choice but to catch her. It was in this situation when the door opened and Tohru stepped in.

”Why is it that each time I leave you guys alone you always hug each other?”Tohru asked teasingly as the two broke up.

”Ah boss, I'm just congratulating Yanee,” Chummy told him unabashedly making his grin widen into a full-blown smile.

”Ooooh, she finally told you,” he said with approval as he raised his thumb up in her direction.

”I didn't expect you'd sweep her off her feet this early, boss. You really work efficiently,” Chummy commented which earned her a pinch on the side from Yanee.

”Of course. If not I would always worry that someone would be shameless enough to snatch her form under my nose,” he told her proudly making Yanee roll her eyes heavenwards.

”Ya! You two talk as if I'm not here,”Yanee complained and Chummy giggled as she stood up properly.

”Then this third wheel will leave now. Being a light bulb is not my thing,” she announced before waltzing out of the room.

Urgh…
