Chapter 35 - Considerate Little Sister (1/2)
Ash Li, Ria Chen, Marian Kang, Jena So, Nixie Tan, Kim Song, Jae Jung, Jisoo Park, Anjee Choi…
Yanee's head reeled as she was introduced to the other beauties one by one by Yunjae and Jisoo. She had the feeling akin to a cat's in front of a car's headlights. She was that stupefied – awed by each lady's presence. To say she was star struck was of course overly exaggerating, but the feeling was still close to that.
It was a good thing that she was already familiar with Yunjae – that was the only thing that was keeping her from being washed away and overwhelmed by the women who seemed to be genuinely loved talking to her and getting to know her. Actually, from the moment that she was introduced, they hadn't stopped asking things about her – even personal things such as her likes, dislikes, and her hobbies.
An overly friendly bunch…
If Yanee could describe them briefly, it would be that. On the other hand, the ladies being friendly with her was totally good news. If they liked her, it would not be very difficult for her to do her job. She didn't have to hesitate or feel awkward in interviewing them about their love life.
With this in mind, she began to relax, and not surprisingly, her mind started to absorb things easily right after. It just proved how anxiety and unnecessary worries kept the brain from functioning properly.
”So, Yanee, do you like traveling?”
Yanee looked up from her hands to the beaming lady who obviously looked one of mixed blood. Ash Li, the second on her list of people to be interviewed, the wife of Hong Kong Business tycoon Alex Li, stared at her with her very beautiful pair of eyes. She tried to discern what color they were, but the lighting made it impossible for Yanee to see clearly. She just knew that they should be exquisite.
”Er…”Yanee snapped herself awake and focused on the questions thrown at her.
There was no use continuing to be an idiot who spaced out in the middle of conversations. She should pay more attention as this was a very good opportunity to bond with her clients. Just like what her boss told her, aside from writing, they have a social responsibility as well to mingle well with the people involved in their business.
She totally understood what the potato meant when he said that about building a network.
She smiled.
”Yes. I love traveling actually,” she answered Ash.
”So, have you been here in South Korea before?” Jisoo asked in interest, and Yanee nodded.
”I have. I cannot remember how many times I've been here, though,” she answered honestly, and Yanee told them about her and her sister's penchant for going on trips whenever they got the chance.
