36 Just 1day! (1/2)
”If it isn't my good for nothing son!” Matt heard a voice from his right and saw his father, Jonathan Smith, standing there with his arms crossed and stern expression on his face.
”Why am I a good for nothing dad?” Matt asked, he knew whenever his father was angry at him he would call him a good for nothing.
”Why are you here only now? Your other friends came back almost a week earlier than you!” said Johnathan.
”Oh come-on John, I know you missed him and were upset that he wasn't coming back but now that he is shouldn't you be happy” said Maria coming in to defend her son.
”When did I miss him? Stop trying to lie and defend your son” Johnathan retorted while trying to look less embaressed by the fact that his wife just spilled the beans.
”Ha ha ha.... I missed you too dad. But the reason that I didn't came earlier was that I had to finish some work that I started so that when I come back here, I wouldn't have to worry about anything else” Matt explained.
”Uncle Matt! Uncle Matt! look look I made a drawing of the family” a sweet voice was heard by Matt as his pants were tugged by someone.
When he looked down he saw that it was his niece Suzy who was holding onto a drawing sheet which had a drawing on it.
”Oh really than let me see” Matt said as he picked up Suzy with one hand while holding on to her drawing woth the other hand.
The drawing was much better than any ordinary 4 year old childs drawing Matt could easily find who was who, He also knew about this skill of his niece when she gained the ability which was related to drawing, hers was one of the few unique ones that no other person possesed as most of the abilities were related to one of the known elements and having a unique abilty such as Suzy.
”Our Suzy is a great artist, why don't we make a potrait of this and hang it here in house” Matt said
”Really! Yes let's do that” Suzy said and started laughing.
”Uncle Matt, pick me up as well” the nephew Chris of Matt came running towards him after getting down fron his fathers shoulder.
”OK OK” Matt said as he carefully placed the drawing of Suzy and picked up Chris with his other hand.
”I still don't understand why they like him so much when they don't even see him much” asked Mary
”That is the reason dear, because they don't see their uncle Matt that much whenever they see him both of them want him to spend his time with them so as to fullfill for the lost time” replied Maria to her daughters question.
