All of a sudden, King Glaucus said to Ajax in a deep voice.
”Huh?”
Ajax raised his brows and asked King Glaucus with a calm look on his face, ”And why is that?”
He was not surprised by the sudden change in the behaviour of King Glaucus; however, he didn't expect that Glaucus would figure out what he was trying to do so soon.

As soon as he finished his words, King Glaucus looked at his followers and ordered, ”What are you looking at? Go and kill him.”
”But, why, your majesty?”
However, not a single King realm mountain lion moved from their places as they asked King Glaucus about it.
Until now, Ajax didn't do anything wrong and everything was going as they discussed earlier. So, as the mountain lions, of course, they didn't want to attack Ajax without a particular reason.
”Because I am ordering you to do it and I am also your bloody king. Did you all forget that?”
King Glaucus didn't expect his own followers to not follow his orders and looked with an angry look, he shouted at them.

However, no one except Brutus moved from their places.
Brutus dragged his severely injured body towards Ajax and stood right in front of the devourer eagle king before saying, ”You have to go through me to attack my master.”
His words were cold as he surveyed his surroundings.

All the onlookers were shocked by Brutus' words as they looked at Ajax in a new light.
Because, until now, Brutus didn't even bother to call King Glaucus 'Master'; however, now, they heard him call Ajax 'Master'.
'What the hell? How did Brutus betray me?'
King Glaucus was shocked when he saw Brutus standing in front of Ajax's contracted spirit beast to protect him even when he was severely injured.
He had never expected Brutus to be the one to betray him because he had many qualities of a mountain lion and a true mountain lion doesn't like to become a follower of someone from the other race.
'Looks like Brutus is not the true mountain lion either.'
Soon, King Glaucus scoffed at Brutus as he shouted, ”Everyone, kill those three traitors before killing that human.”
Since the three of his King realm followers had become Ajax's followers, he could only kill them to avoid future troubles.
However, not a single one moved forward to kill Brutus, Max and Nova.
”What are you saying? Why should we kill our own kind?”
”Since you are the one who asked them to fight Ajax, then why are you blaming them?”
”You are the one we need to kill and not them.”
Soon, hundreds of king realm mountain lions moved towards King Glaucus as they surrounded him to stop him from escaping.

So, all King Glaucus could do was try his best in convincing at least some of them to be on his side.
