Chapter 1119: Ajax versus Brutus (1/2)

”Brutus, go and fight.”

Without wasting any time, King Glaucus asked his strongest follower to go and fight Ajax.

He was very sure that no matter how many tricks Ajax had under his sleeve, Brutus was going to defeat Ajax. So, he dared to wager his legend grade sword.

”I will fight him; however, I don't care whether he lives or dies. Don't ask me to restrain myself while fighting him.”

Soon, a three-meter high humanoid lion who had his muscles bulged under his strong golden armour walked out from the back of the crowd and said those words to King Glaucus.

Compared to others, his respect towards King Glaucus was less.

Moreover, until now, he didn't even bother to watch the fights between Ajax and the humanoid lions because in his opinion, 'Challenges are meant to kill others.'

However, here, they were fooling around using the word 'Challenge'. So, he didn't have the slightest interest in their fights.

”You can fight as you like.”

King Glaucus knew that he could not control this strongest follower of his and gave him permission to use full power.

”Good”

Brutus revealed an evil look on his face while looking at Ajax when he got the confirmation from King Glaucus and nodded his head.

”Brutus, before you start fighting, let me have a few words with the young human.”

In the next second, King Glaucus thought of something and hurriedly stopped Brutus and looking at Ajax, he asked, ”Can you please summon your dragon out of your spirit consciousness?”

If Ajax was killed in the challenge, then the divine dragon inside his body would also be killed along with him and King Glaucus didn't want that. So, he asked Ajax to summon it.

”Sure.”

With a slight smile on his face, Ajax nodded his head and called out the divine dragon.

”Roar”

”Just watch the fight and don't destroy anything.”

Ajax said a few words to the dragon before looking at the muscular humanoid lion.

”Human, if you want to live, then admit defeat. Once we start fighting, only of us will live.”

Brutus didn't start the fight as he informed Ajax that he could still live as long as he admits defeat.

”I can say the same to you.”

Even though Ajax sounded arrogant, he was confident enough to defeat Brutus. If the other party was unwilling to admit defeat, all he could do was to kill him.

And Ajax didn't want to kill anyone because he wanted living followers.

”Good then. Let's see who will win.”

'Fire mountain god, transform.'

As soon as he finished his words Brutus didn't waste any time in summoning his bestial soul which looked just like him; however, it was transparent and looked like an elemental spirit.

Compared to Nova's bestial soul, Brutus' bestial soul was a little different before there was a red-coloured necklace around the soul.

'Swoosh'

As soon Brutus' bestial soul appeared in front of him, it transformed into a reddish golden-coloured armour before attaching to Brutus.

”Die”

Once he readied himself, Brutus appeared in front of his two fire elemental spirits before cleaving at them with his sharp golden claw.

'Elemental spirit merger bloodline, activate.'

Ajax was already expecting Brutus to be powerful and just before Brutus' claws landed on them, Ajax hurriedly activated his second bloodline, the Elemental spirit merger.

'Boom'

Soon, a huge explosion happened between Volcanis and Ignis which blasted Brutus away as they merged into a single entity.

”Cerauno, let's merge.”

Even though Brutus was blasted away, Ajax knew it was not enough to injure him, not to mention killing him. So, he ordered the lightning spirit to activate his general realm skill 'Merge'.

'Swoosh'

In the next second, another explosion occurred as Ajax and Ceruauno merged into a single entity.

After merging, the new entity mostly had Ajax's features except for the fact his eyes were glowing with lightning sparks and his entire body was covered in lightning flashes that were moving like angry snakes around.

'Woah….so cool.'
