”I will ask you one last time, are you going to answer my questions?”

Looking at the sect leader Gerg who was lying on the ground and groaning in pain, Ajax asked with a serious look on his face.

”Just kill me...kill me.”

The sect leader Gerg was scared shitless and he knew that if Darbaudr cuts his legs, he can't bear the pain. So, he asked Ajax to kill him.

Right now, the sect leader Gerg just wants to die as he was unable to bear the pain.

”Sure but before that answer my questions.”

There was no change in his expression as Ajax maintained a serious look on his face as he asked the sect leader Gerg to answer his questions.

The sect leader Gerg was in a helpless situation and he couldn't even kill himself as his hands were already chopped off. So, he hurriedly requested Ajax to ask his questions.

”Why did you kill orphans from the Silver Orphanage in the Volar city?”

Ajax nodded his head as he asked his first question.

”Because we got that mission from our backer.”

The sect leader Gerg didn't even think for a moment before replying to Ajax's first question.

”Your backer? Who is that?”

Ajax frowned as he didn't expect someone from the other province would give such a mission.

”Why? What will they get by killing a bunch of orphans?”

Whenever he thought about it Ajax could feel the rage inside him as he asked the sect leader Gerg.

”Th...that, I don't know...aargh. But...”

The pain the sect leader Gerg was feeling increased as time passed as he could not help but groan while replying to Ajax.

”But what?”

Ajax urged the sect leader Gerg to just finish his words.

”But it is related to you. That's the reason why we continued to hunt you down after you escaped into the Cursed Abyss.”

While saying that, the sect leader Gerg had a slight smile as though it was funny as he continued, ”You are the main reason for the death of so many innocents.”

The sect leader Gerg looked like he would be losing his consciousness anytime now; however, he wanted to say those words because he knew his death is imminent after he finished answering Ajax's questions.

”Wanted to kill me? Why?”

Ajax frowned when he heard the reply as he didn't expect the assassins to come for him on that night.

But what he didn't understand was why.

”I don't know.”

The sect leader Gerg still had a smile on his face as he shook his head before saying, ”If you want to know more, you have to go to the Ylercester province and ask the assassin sect for yourself; however, I doubt they know more than me.”

As soon as he finished his words, the sect leader Gerg lost consciousness.

”Hey, wake up. So, who will know more about that incident?”

Ajax became anxious as he shook the sect leader Gerg's body; however, the sect leader didn't wake up and from the looks of it, he would not make it out alive.

'Damn it.'

Ajax cursed the sect leader Gerg as he used the advanced spatial blades to kill him.

However, soon, Ajax regretted killing the sect leader Gerg even before he tried to save him.

”Darbaudr, let's see if anyone else in the assassin sect knew more about this incident.”

Since he could not bring the sect leader Gerg back to life, Ajax decided to interrogate others in the sect to find out more about the massacre.
