Chapter 1057: Rurbeak, The Brave Dwarf (1/2)

Grey dwarves excel in weapon and artifact making; however, they don't like to fight and even if they wanted to fight, they could not fight because of their weak combat power.

As for their survival, they make a powerful being as their friend and trade the weapons refined, in return for protection.

Just like any other grey dwarves' world, this grey dwarves' world is also able to invite a King realm Gaint and his followers as their protectors.

However, a few years back, the Primordial demons killed all the Giants in the Grey dwarves' world and made the Grey dwarves their slaves.

Moreover, in order to stop the other invaders, the primordial demon king Igunuz put five demon kings with their army in charge of that world.

As for the five demon kings, they were cruel and vicious as they torture the grey dwarves if they didn't refine the said quota in time and the said quota will increase every time.

If they fail to meet the said quote in time, they will kill one or two grey dwarves to show their authority.

Rurbeak, the young dwarf who rushed towards the demons who came to take the weekly refined weapons, lost his little brother and little sister just because they were short of one dagger.

Even though he knew that he could not kill all of them, he wanted to take at least a few demons along with him before dying.

But who would have thought that he would fall to the ground the moment he came out of the town wall.

”Woah...did you see this? A little dwarf wanted to kill us.”

The demon general who was leading the 100 demons mocked looking at Rurbeak on the ground.

”Haha”

Hearing the demon general's words, the rest of the demons started laughing while scoffing at the young dwarf Rurbeak who was crying.

”General, let's just kill him and show the grey dwarves in this town what will happen if they have any thoughts like this.”

After laughing, one of the demons suggested to the demon general.

”Yes, general. It is a lesson these short people should learn. Moreover, he has a heaven-grade sword which will perfectly suit you.”

Another demon nodded his head while saying about the heaven-grade sword in Rurbeak's hands.

At the same time, that demon was looking at the low-level heaven-grade sword on the demon general's back.

”That sword looks good. Bring that to me and you can take my sword.”

Of course, the demon general had long noticed the grade of the sword in Rurbeak's hand; however, he was waiting for one of his underlings to suggest that the sword better suits him.

So, the moment, one of his underlings said that he was generous in giving away his low-level heaven grade sword while asking his underling to bring the high-level heaven grade sword.

”Thank you, general.”

That demon was excited and thanked the demon general before bringing the sword from the young dwarf to his demon general.

'Finally, got a good weapon. As long as I have enough contributions, I can challenge the other demon generals to become a demon general.'

The demon who got the sword from his demon general silently muttered to himself before saying to his demon general, ”General, shall I make all the preparations for the execution of  this young dwarf?”

Since he was in a great mood, the underling demon urged the demon general for an execution.

”Go ahead and inform all the dwarves in this town.”

The demon general also enjoys torturing the dwarves. So, he nodded his head to that demon before looking at another demon and said, ”Let's go and collect this week's tribute from this town.”

”By the way, we need to hurry up as we still need to collect tributes from another 10 towns.”

This was the last time the demon general said to others before entering the town with his underlings.

As for Rurbeak, he was dragged by a demon to the center of the town.

'Please forgive your big brother. I am not strong enough to fight them.'

Even though he was dragged by a demon for an execution, Rurbeak didn't bother about it as he was asking for an apology from his dead little brother and little sister.

”Demon general, you are here a day earlier than your usual date.”

Before the demons could call any of the residents of the town, everyone came out as they already knew that the demon had come to collect the tribute.
