”You don't have another option other than killing me.”

The primitive ape king shrugged his hands as he replied to Ajax in his usual hoarse voice.

'Huh?'

Ajax was surprised a little when he heard such a reply from the primitive ape king.

”Why do you want to become my partner. I don't have high cultivation but I have a lot of powerful enemies which makes me a burden for you.”

Nevertheless, Ajax shook his head as he continued, ”Since you don't want to become a contracted spirit beast, I suggest you go and live your own life. Stop bothering me.”

Actually, Ajax felt the logic said by the primitive ape king of becoming a partner was good; however, without forming a contract with the spirit beast, he could not put him into his inner world.

Also, it would have been not a problem for him; however, from now on he had to travel to other worlds and who knows how long it would take for him to destroy them.

So, Ajax felt that only if the primitive ape king forms a contract with him, he could take him along because the spirit beast looked powerful and it would be a great help in the other worlds.

”Exactly. The reason why you want to become your partner is to protect you from your enemies because your cultivation is still low.”

The primitive ape king didn't say anything as he waited for Ajax's condition and silently thought, 'No matter what, I have to fulfil that condition.'

”You have to guard those 10 cursed beasts against leaving this cursed heaven while learning a bestial law. As long as you can learn beast law by the time I return, I will consider you as a reliable partner.”

Seeing that the primitive ape king became serious, Ajax stated his condition to become a partner without a contract.

'Looks like a good condition.'
