'What is happening to him?'

Even Master Elek was surprised at the groaning Ajax because he didn't understand the reason behind Ajax's pain.

'He will be okay.'

Nevertheless, he transmitted his voice to Nameless cultivator before thinking, 'Even if something happens to him, his master will protect him, right?'

Master Elek was not worried about Ajax's master attacking them all of sudden because he knew that a powerful cultivator might have already understood what they were trying to do.

So, he maintained his cool as he waited for Ajax to stand.

'Damn it...at this rate, I am not going to make it.'

Ajax continued to endure the pain which was spreading all over his body and he even thought to stop in the middle; however, he was stopped by the old voice in his head.

It is detected that the host is entering into a special state unknown to the system.

However, the system detected that the host can absorb the energies around him at an incredible speed.

Finally, after waiting for a few minutes, Ajax received a couple of system notifications that made Ajax heave a sigh of relief.

However, that doesn't mean the pain disappeared completely.

Nevertheless, Ajax was satisfied with those two system notifications because finally, there was something he got in return for enduring such unbearable pain.

'Unknown to you?'

What surprised Ajax the most was the system didn't know about his current special state.

'It looks like the system is not an omniscient being as I thought.'

Ajax thought in his head as he gritted his teeth because he could still feel the pain spreading all over his body.

In the host's current state, he could absorb one unit of Cursed Energy for every minute.

Soon, Ajax got another system notification that made him temporarily forget the pain in his body.

'Excellent.'

Ajax became excited and continued to endure the pain as he started calculating how many hours it would take him to get one unit of Astral Energy.

For every minute, one unit of Cursed Energy would be accumulated. So, it would take 100 minutes to accumulate 100 units of Cursed Energy which could be converted into one unit of Astral Energy.

Compared to the speed of his clone, where he was able to accumulate one unit of Cursed Energy for every minute, it was way too good.

So, he continued rotating two cultivation techniques at the same time.

'However, why is he not attacking me?'

Another thing that surprised Ajax was Nameless cultivator was not attacking; instead, he was watching Ajax with a worried look on his face.

'Maybe, he was worried about not being able to consume me.'

Ajax was unable to guess that both Master Elek and Nameless cultivator was just testing him before sending him to a place where he could collect as much Astral Energy he wanted.

'I need to quickly absorb as much Cursed Energy as possible to weaken him.'

Ajax assumed that as long as he absorbed Cursed Energy from Nameless cultivator, he would gradually become weak.

Moreover, he already knew that Nameless cultivator was hard to kill as even the guild master was unable to kill.

'Swoosh'

While continuing what he was doing, Ajax's eyes landed on the two corroded spirit beasts he chopped off their heads.

Surprisingly, those two spirit beast's heads and the remaining portion of the bodies attached before returning to their peak state.

'What the hell? What is this Cursed Energy?'
