Chapter 678: Starlight Energy Beam (1/2)

In the depths of the cursed wilderness,

The start lynx opened its mouth and released an energy purple coloured energy beam from its mouth.

'Boom'

'Aargh'

All of a sudden, a huge explosion occurred the moment the energy beam touched the barrier created by the tree treants summoned by Geron.

With the explosion, the entire area was covered by dust and from it, a painful groan could be heard.

Soon, the dust settled and the two other guardians could finally see what had happened.

'What?'

When the two guardians, Abyss minotaur and Serpent Imp saw their leader fall to the ground, they were shocked as they hurriedly moved to help him.

”Leader, are you okay?”

Both the guardians rushed towards the leader and asked the Star lynx.

”I am fine...fine,”

Star lynx replied with a growl as he stood on his four legs and looked at the thin barrier around Geron and said, ”I didn't expect your barrier has such an ability to reflect the attacks. No wonder, you dare to come here.”

Star Lynx eyed Geron as though he had stolen something important from him as he continued, ”Let's see, how long are you going to stay in your turtle shell.”

'Damn it. Even my Starlight energy beam was unable to leave a single scratch on the barrier. I have to make him stop shouting' otherwise, I will be in a trouble,'

Even though his attitude on the surface looked like he didn't care much about the barrier, inside his heart, he was fearing that what if the king of spirit beasts wakes up from his slumber.

'Phew...thank god I used the advance essence pill and learned a 'skill enhancing' skill from my ancestral memories,'

Inside the barrier, Geron looked at Star lynx and the other two guardians and thought in his head with an exciting look.

He didn't waste his time looking at the guardians as he started calling the king of the spirit beasts as he knew the barrier would not last for much longer.

Hearing Geron's shouts, the spirit beast looked annoyed as he cursed inside his heart; however, even his strongest attack was unable to do anything to the barrier.

So, except for waiting for the barrier to disappear, he could do nothing.

As Geron continued to shout at an old cave as loud as possible, one of the tree treants surrounding Geron made a cracking sound as a small crack appeared on its tree body.

”Haha”

Even though Star Lynx was a spirit beast, it laughed in a pure evil human laugh when he saw the crack in the barrier appear just above that tree treant.

”It looks like heavens are in my favour,”

Star Lynx interestingly looked at the cracks that were appearing at an incredible speed on the barrier and mocked Geron.

”You two go and hit the barrier now,”

Since the barrier was full of cracks, Star lynx ordered his two subordinates to destroy it because he didn't want Geron to shout one more time.

However, both the beasts looked at the cracked barrier and were a little hesitant to attack.

”Big brother, your guardians are planning something behind your back and want to kill me. Save me,”

All of a sudden, Geron increased his tone after seeing the cracks on his thin barrier.

”Did you hear that? If our king wakes up, then we will be killed right away. Just go and destroy it,”

For the first time, his subordinates didn't blindly follow his orders; instead, looked at him in doubt that made the Start Lynx very angry.

However, currently, he suppressed his anger as he once again ordered the other two guardians while thinking inside his heart, 'Just wait for some more time. After I ascent to the throne, I will torture you for not following my orders like obedient slaves.'
