Chapter 645: Magical Essence Absorbing Tree (1/2)

Edmond wanted to create an impression that he and all the young men behind him were going to the mercenary guild to pick some missions to train these young men.

The Guild Master had already said that only after the disciples were selected, they would be announced to the entire province until then it had to remain silent.

'Udo, did you ask them to come without making much attention, right?'

While they were moving Edmond asked Udo about someone.

'Yeah. All nine of your children will join us at the mercenary guild and at the same time I ask them to come in groups of two or three,'

Udo nodded his head and replied to Edmond.

For some reason, Edmond didn't want others to know about his adopted children yet. So, he made them come like normal mercenaries coming for some missions from the mercenary guild.

Soon, they reached the mercenary guild which was almost empty as many of the mercenaries were still recovering from their injuries they got in the battle with the demon army.

”Hello, Captain Edmond, you are late,”

Just as they entered, Captain Edmond and others heard a familiar voice from inside the mercenary guild.

”Ajax, you are already here. Good. Let's go and meet the guild master,”

Edmond didn't waste time by talking about other things as he directly moved to meet the guild master.

He was none other than Ajax, who came just a few moments earlier than Edmond and others. Behind him, the barbarian stood like a statue without any expression on his face.

As for the two eagle brothers, they didn't turn into human form as they were resting on a huge tree in front of the mercenary guild.

”Hello, guild master,”

The moment they met the guild master, everyone greeted him with a polite expression on their faces.

”You brought everyone?”

The guild master was missing some of the faces amongst the young men. So, he asked Edmond about it.

”No everyone but my adopted children will come here at any moment,”

Edmond explained that he didn't want others to know about their existence yet.

”Okay. Let's wait here. The other five vagrant cultivators will be coming here soon,” The guild master asked them to wait in the hall as it was the only hall that was big enough for all the people.

”Yes, guild master,”

Everyone sat in the chairs and started talking about something to pass their boredom.

”Father,”

Soon, Edmond's adopted children started coming one by one from the outside and joined them.

”Looks like everyone is eager for the disciple selection ceremony...Good,”

”Shall we go?”

Soon, the other five vagrant cultivators came to the meeting room and asked them.

”Yes, sir,”

Everyone nodded their heads with excited looks on their faces.

”The test begins now”

All of a sudden, the environment turned serious as 'The Eternal Nurturer', Ramon said in a low but strong voice.

While saying that, he threw a bunch of papers at the young men and young women.

”There is one unique region in the maps I just tossed at you. As long you reach the position within ten hours, you will be qualified for the next round,”

After tossing the maps, Ramon said their task for the first round.

”And the time starts now,”

Just as he finished his words, an illusionary sand watch appeared beside Ramon which he turned upside down.
