In the open ground behind the Hazegroove squad building,

Edmond finished explaining and answering all the questions that Paulin and Ajax asked. Compared to Paulin, Ajax asked very few questions which made Edmond ask him whether he still had any more questions to ask.

”Actually, I have one,” Unexpected to Edmond's expectations, Ajax replied to him as he continued, ”Actually, it's a personal question.”

”Personal questions can wait. If you have any questions regarding the elemental spirits, you can ask them first,”

Edmond knew what Ajax wanted to ask. So, he stopped him from asking for it for a while.

”I don't have any,”

Ajax shook his head as he now had some clarity about the contract time and to ask more questions, he had to experience something new about the elemental spirits and the elemental spirit world.

”What about you, Paulin?” Edmond looked at Paulin and asked whether he had any more doubts regarding the summoning and the elemental spirits.

”Currently, I don't have any. I will ask you when I have any more doubts, Captain Edmond,” Paulin shook his head as he replied to Edmond.

”Okay,” Edmond nodded his head before looking at Ajax and continued, ”I know what you want to ask and the answer is 'Yes'.”

Ajax opened his mouth to ask something; however, he didn't ask for some reason.

”As for more details, even Udo doesn't know about it. So, you won't get any more answers about it,” Edmond revealed a slight smile as he didn't wait for Ajax to say something before continuing, ”As I said earlier, keep your trumps cards to yourselves and only reveal them only when you need them.”

”I understood, Captain Edmond,”

Both Paulin and Ajax nodded their heads at the same time understanding Edmond's words and didn't bother him by asking about his elemental spirits and other things related to it.

Among the youngsters in the Hazegrove mercenary squad, only Ajax and Paulin were able to find out that their Captain was an official summoner and after hearing the advice about the contract, they also concluded that their captain must have many elemental spirits.

However, all these were their assumptions and decided to wait until Edmond openly shows his elemental spirits.

”Good. Now, leave to your rooms and increase your cultivation as much as possible for the disciple selection,”

Edmond asked them to leave to their rooms and slapped Udo, making him wake up from his sleep.

”Let's go and check the items from the guild master,”

Edmond said to Udo and Darbaudr before walking behind the young men.

”Captain Edmond, I want to go out as I need some materials from the market square,”

All of a sudden, Ajax stopped in his tracks and turned back to Edmond and informed him.

Since he had to travel at least 300 km to and fro, it was impossible for him to hide from Edmond and others. So, he decided to lie by saying that he would go to the mercenary guild's market square to buy some items.

Moreover, he couldn't say to Captain Edmond and others that he would be going to destroy the assassination circle of the assassin sect.

”Huh?”

Edmond raised his brows when he heard that and asked Ajax, ”Is it very important to go out at a time like this?”

Just an hour ago, there was an assassination attempt on Ajax. So, Edmond felt it was too risky to go out now. So, he asked Ajax regarding it.

”It is important. I just learned a new recipe that could help my elemental spirits to increase their cultivation. So….,”

”Okay then. Take Darbaudr along with you. Even if something happens, he will save you,” Before Ajax could finish his words, Edmond interrupted him as he suggested Ajax to take Darbaudr along with him.

”Sure, Captain Edmond,” Ajax nodded his head.

In the mission, there was no restriction of using Darbaudr. So, Ajax instantly agreed to it.

”Darbaudr, we will look after your items until you come back,” Edmond looked at Darbaudr and said to him about some items before leaving to his room along with Udo and Paulin.
