”Do you know how much essence of nature I had to spend in order to come here as fast as I could? Nearly 70 percent of my spirit consciousness is completed and the remaining 30 percent is utilized in the fight against the demon chief. And why do you think I did all of this? To come here to stop that demon army.
Rulf explained why he had come with his full speed while spending some huge amount of essence of nature.
”So, you came to stop the demon army?” Edmond asked while rubbing his chin.
”Yes,” Rulf nodded his head and continued, ”Now, we have to stop this demon army before the demon army moves far away.”
Looking at the demon army which was not very far from them, Rulf asked others to start fighting to stop the demon army.
”Hahaha...you are really an idiot, Rulf,” Edmond was unable to control his laugh and jokingly scolded Rulf before saying, ”Do you still think this is the first batch of the demon army even after seeing their numbers?”
Pointing his fingers at the demon army, Edmond asked Rulf with a serious face all of a sudden.
”It is not the first batch of the demon army? So, where is it?” After looking at the more than 1500 demons in the demon army, Rulf became anxious and asked Edmond.
”If my guess is right, that demon army must have already crossed the cursed wilderness,” Edmond said with a nonchalant expression on his face as though he never cared about the demon army exiting the cursed wilderness.
”Why? Why did you not stop them?” Rulf became serious and angrily asked Edmond about it.
”Why should I? Am I some kind of guardian or a protector,” Edmond didn't get angry and replied with the same nonchalant expression on his face, ”Also, aren't there some mighty sects and great families to protect the human world? How can a lowly mercenary save the human world.”
Although Edmond tried his best to kill as many demons as possible, he didn't act as though he never cared about humans.
Also, what he just said now were his true inner feelings, he had always thought in his head and finally, he got a chance to voice them out. So, he said without any break in his words.
”The Guild master always said, you are a great warrior for becoming strong even after what has happened to you and your family. Sigh..but looks like you still can't come out of that thing,” Rulf sighed with a disappointed face and continued, ”Anyway, I don't have time to waste by talking to a cold person.”
After finishing his words, Rulf followed the direction of the second batch of the demon army to catch up to the first batch of the demon army to stop them.
”Anyway, I have to reach before they enter the human towns that are near to the cursed wilderness,” Thinking about the nearby towns and cities outside the cursed wilder, the anxiousness in Rulf's heart increased even more.
However, he didn't use much essence of nature in running as it would make him completely drained by the time he reached them and he could not fight the demon army.

”Udo, shall we continue to fight this demon army or go after the first batch of the demon army?” Edmond looked at Udo and asked with a small smile on his face.
