”Always watch your back while you are in a fight,” Rulf smirked at the demon chief; however, he didn't even move his finger.

”What?”

The demon chief became surprised at his words and looked behind him only to see no one.

Just when he turned back to check what was behind him, a long sword pierced through the demon chief's chest

'Aarghh'

The demon chief howled in pain and hurriedly jumped backwards to remove the long sword from his chest.

Before the demon chief pulled back the long and thin sword from his chest, it came out of his body on its own and cut the roots that binded Rulf.

”The thing I wanted to say is when the enemy is in your hands, don't speak non-sense with him…..,”

After freeing himself from the root bindings, Rulf mocked the demon chief before he disappeared from his place and appeared behind him.

”and kill him immediately like this,” He completed his previous mocked after he pierced his sword into the demon chief's body before slashing the demon chief's body into two parts.

The demon chief didn't even have the time to howl in pain as his body was cut into the two parts by the Rulf.

Even after he died, his face still had a raged expression on his face because he was killed by a human, who had less strength than him.

What's more, he was fooled by that human before he was killed and he still regretted not killing him when had the chance.

However, there was no medicine for regret and in the end, he had lost his life.

'Phew...this one is a tough one and my essence of nature is emptied with that one move,' After killing the demon chief, Rulf collapsed onto the ground and heaved a sigh of relief when he gambled his life for using one of his secret techniques.

”Edmond, you can hold onto for a while, right? I don't have any essence of nature in my spirit consciousness. I want to recover it,” Rulf looked at Edmond and asked him to try his best.

”Idiot, your essence of nature emptied after using one a couple of moves? What a waste!” Edmond shook his head and continued, ”We can manage these elite demon generals for a while; however, the young ones are in danger,” Edmond replied to Rulf while fighting with two elite demon generals at once.

”I need at least five minutes to recover; otherwise, even if I went into the fight now, I will die for nothing,” Rulf bitterly shook his head and said it was impossible for him to fight now.

”Sigh...okay then. Go towards that elemental spirit and recover your strength for only five minutes before joining the fight,” Edmond sighed and finally gave in and asked him to enter the Earth shield created by Slait.

After the death of their chief, the morale of the elite demon generals lowered and their battles prowess were lowered which put Edmond and others in an advantageous position.

As for Rulf, he followed Edmond's earlier finger direction and saw an earth elemental spirit and an unconscious man beside the elemental spirit. Without wasting any time, he entered the earth shield and sat beside Slait before entering into deep mediation.

Before they even start fighting with the second batch of the demon army, Ajax summoned Slait to protect his senior brother Levi with his earth shield which could withstand even an all-out attack from a general realm cultivator.
