Jean: Good afternoon, Father-in-law.

Xia Hongyi reached Jean and patted his shoulder.

Xia Hongyi: Haha, Che'er, starting today, I will give you Xia Qingyue to you. Although you are not a big hero, you are Xiao Ying's son so I can have a peace of mind when I give you my daughter. Your father Xiao Ying was an amazing man.

Jean smiled and nodded at his words.

Jean: Don't worry, father-in-law, they are just short-sighted people, so what if I am a cripple? I have many methods to teach them a lesson, until I will turn in a vegetable, I won't stop in my way to achieve my dreams.

Jean hummed and turned towards the entrance of the manor, the doors opened and a woman in a ”proper” scarlet wedding dress with her face covered in a veil came out, accompanied from bridesmaids.

She wore a red phoenix coronet on top of her head. Her soft and shiny black hair fell gently behind her shoulders. On her belt hung a charm made of exquisite jade while pearls dangled at its tassels, matching her golden shoes.

Jean looked at his watch and saw that it was 17:03, when he glanced back at his bride, she was already beside him, curiously looking at the car.

Jean: Heh, you like that? I found this jewel in the mountain near Xiao Clan in perfect conditions, hop in.

Jean touched Xia Qingyue's hand, but he suddenly felt a chilling cold on his hand, he frowned at the unexpected sensation, but he had a small idea about the culprit. So he used Visionary to give her a small shock while he kept his smile.

As he expected Xia Qingyue twitched at the sudden shock, but she kept her cool and sat on the front seat, she immediately relaxed on the comfy seat while Jean sat on the driver seat, beside her. Meanwhile the maids and the servants were behind.

Xiao Qingyue saw Jean pulling a belt from his left and putting it in a hole on his right with a small *click*.

She looked at her left and saw the hole, so she turned right and pulled the belt, copying his movements, when she heard a *click* too, she put herself comfortable and looked at the details of the car with a slightly amazed expression.

She flinched when the engine started, and they started to move in the road, Xia Qingyue was still amazed and a bit frightened at the speed they were going since she was holding herself tighter in the seat, and from Jean's carefree expression, she thought that it was still slow compared to its full capabilities.

In 20 minutes, they reached Xiao Clan because the road wasn't really made for cars, and the turns were really sharp, so he needed to slow down there.

Xiao Lie was already at the entrance, welcoming the guests, sadly, there aren't many, and all of them are present only for Xia Qingyue and Xiao Lie.

Jean parked in front of the entrance, he turned off the engine and pushed a buŧŧon on his right before the belt turned back on its place, Xia Qingyue imitated him and saw her belt going back to her right.

Jean hopped down from the car while the maids took Xia Qingyue out from the mysterious and exotic vehicle.

The moment she got out from the car, everything turned silent and everyone admired her beauty. Jean smiled as he escorted his bride to the Xiao Clan, and soon they reached the meeting hall, which is surrounded from chairs.

Xiao De, the responsible for this wedding, introduced the groom and the bride to everyone present, and after he read the names of everyone that is present, his voice boomed in the hall.

Xiao De: First bow to Heaven and Earth!

Jean quickly snapped out from his thoughts that were everywhere but on the wedding, and bowed together with Xia Qingyue to the doorway.
