Chapter 10 - Master Stage Weapon (1/2)

As the princess went back, Glaze was finally alone for the first time since he got here.

Let's take a look at what this system shop is, he thought.

*ting*

*You have unclaimed rewards*

Unclaimed rewards? What are those?

*You have a reward from the system for leveling up for the first time*

*Blood River Blade - Master Stage Sword: Absorbs the blood of the enemy and heals your body and mana*

A Master stage weapon? So I can use 1/4th of its power. That should still be much stronger than anything I currently have.

As he kept the sword in his inventory, he took a look at the rest of the stuff available in the System Shop

*Assassin Magic Book - Beginner ȧssassin magic that can be later upgraded once mastered and can kill enemies multiple levels higher if not detected: Cost - 100000 Gold*

This isn't very useful for someone like me but I can give this to my underlings, maybe make a team of ȧssassins? that should be very useful.

*Divine Slave Magic - Can enslave anyone under your level whose mind is weakened. You can track that person anywhere and contact them and kill them remotely. This doesn't affect their mind or hypnotize them but their life is in your hands. Cost - 200000 Gold*

That's very useful and more expensive than Assassin magic.

I'll take these for now and take a look at this later when I have more gold.

As the days passed, the news of Lord Glaze Lockhart, the newly summoned hero who killed a Level 25 Expert Stage monster while being only at Level 10 spread throughout the Kingdom, and the fact that he gained 3 Levels straight away and became Level 13 added fuel to the fire. The entire Kingdom was in a huge uproar. The common people were happy that they were now protected by a strong Hero. The nobles, on the other hand, were on edge, because along with that news, it was a piece of news that greatly disturbed them. The newly summoned Hero seemed very close to the Crown Princess.

The common people didn't care. But for the nobles who cared so much about bloodlines, did not like seeing the Crown Princess with mixed blood gain so much power. They wanted to bring the Hero to their side instead. Though most of the people thought this way some nobles who were on the sidelines started to shift towards the Crown Princess knowing that the Hero was on her side.

And thus the scheming began.
