Chapter 57 - Declaration of War (2/2)

Jasper seethed in anger. Hero Li seemed to have a pattern of ending the conversations, not giving anyone an opening.

”Stay away from Luna.” He wasn't blind. He was also a man after all. The subtle glances President Li was giving Luna wasn't something he could call a friendly manner.

Just the thought of another man seeking Luna's attention was enough to make him angry from jealousy.

”You are in no place to demand such a thing from me, Young Master Mo. As I see it, Luna Jiang is a single woman and had nothing to do with you. I'm free to woo her if I like. Do you want to stop me? Keep trying. Luna Jiang is mine and will remain mine.”

This was his declaration of war against Jasper Mo.

”Although your previous relationship with Luna Jiang has nothing to do with me, Young Master Mo, you're bound to lose to me.”

”Lose to you?” Jasper spat out.

”I can pursue Luna without any restrictions and obstacles. Even if there is, I will surely cut the bud before it blooms, but you cannot…” His words were clear.

”I already said this before. Luna isn't a plaything. She's my girlfriend. You cannot force her to love you when her heart is already mine.”

”Do you really think so?” Hero Li's voice was colder than the ice. ”Do you want to make a bet with me, Jasper Mo?

Luna sat down from her previous seat and saw Aiko nowhere to be found. She heaved a sigh, knowing that she wouldn't have to deal with her anytime soon. However, as soon as she sat, she could sense the tense atmosphere between her husband and Jasper.

Luna knew that Jasper wanted to probe into her relationship with Hero Li, but she was not willing to allow Jasper to get in between her and her husband. The love story they had… the days they'd been together… Jasper threw it out of the window because of Aiko Chen's deceit.

”Oh, Luna. Here you are. I was nervous when you didn't come back. We've looked for you anywhere. Who would have thought my brother found you first?”

Jasmine Xuan laughed behind her friend and nodded towards Hero as she greeted him.

”Told yah, Luna must have been with Hero all this time.” She chimed in.

Joanna sat on Luna's right side, forcing the latter to seat closer to Hero while Jasmine took another wine glass from a waiter and sat at the couch that Jasper vacated.

Jasper listened to them conversing as if they'd known each other for a long time. So not only did Luna was acquainted with Hero Li, but as well as his sister and Jasmine Xuan? He suddenly thought that he couldn't understand this Luna he was seeing right now.

”Sorry, Sis. I totally forgot about the two of you.” Luna blushed profusely. How could she forget that Joanna and Jasmine were waiting for her return?
