Chapter 28 - Lunas Warmth (2/2)

Her eyes felt heavy and her shoulders sagged from the long hours of work since morning. It didn't help that Amber was sleeping so soundly on the bed beside her. The coldness from the air conditioners made the nap sound appealing to her.

'Maybe I should take a nap too.'

Luna laid beside the little girl and pulled the child closer in her ċhėst. She remembered what happened the last time Amber woke up without her. The little girl threw a fit on her Aunty Joanna and made some problems for her father.

The two were fast asleep when Hero stepped into the room to talk to Luna. He was taken by surprise when he saw Amber and Luna peacefully sleeping beside each other. He pulled a chair and sat beside the bed, watching his daughter and his woman.

His eyes landed on Luna's face. He liked how her long lashes softly brushed above her cheeks, how her ċhėst heaved in every breath she took in. Her pinkish lips slightly parted as she breathed.

Luna didn't wear any makeup unlike the other women in his company, but her natural beauty still attracted attention from the opposite sėx. Who wouldn't notice the softness of her pale skin? How her eyes gleamed and smiled like her lips when she was happy? Usually kept on a low ponytail, her hair framed her face while giving her a more innocent look.

She was such an alluring fine beauty. It wasn't surprising that Jasper Mu kept her for a long time, but it was all in the past now, Hero thought. He would never allow Luna to come back to that man.

Hero traced Luna's face with the back of his fingers. Starting from her brows, he slowly moved to her temples then down to her cheeks. She lightly flinched from the sudden warmth that touched her face, but she remained asleep.

Only like this that Hero could fill his dėsɨrė to stare at her without hesitation. He'd wondered if Amber had taken a liking to Luna just like him. Did Amber see the warmth she was seeking for a long time? The kind of love she'd never received before?

Hero's lips curled into a smile. If all worked out for him and Luna decided to stay with him, Amber wouldn't have to worry about her Aunty Luna. She would never seek anyone else's love but hers.
