Inside a room of the slaughterhouse, ventilating fans were running at top speed to replace the air of the room with some fresh air but the stench of blood in this room was too strong to be removed by mere ventilating fans.

Alexander entered this room and felt a strong repulsion. His body didn't want to enter this room. His body jerked as he took a step forward.

”F**k this smell!”

But he still pinched his nose to cut off the air as well as smell and stepped inside with all his courage.

Inside the room, livestock like pigs and sheep were hanging upside down and were skinned alive while they were still conscious, with warm blood dripping down like tap water and their squeaks reverberating throughout the room. He looked one of the rows and then closed his eyes. He wasn't able to look anymore!

Alexander shook his head and took a step back, ”I can't do it. I was able to keep calm without seeing all of this but… but now, I can't do it.”

”I… I… ” he tried to speak but wasn't able to speak a word again. With his closed eyelids all he was able to see, was a face of a little girl.

He was determined to find her and protect her for her life, the same way she protected him in his childhood.

He hesitated a bit as his eyelids trembled but he slowly opened his eyes and looked around.

The similar scenery was played again in front of his eyes. The squeaks of pigs were striking his head and heart.

”I think… this is called a test of determination.” He mumbled and took a step forward towards a chamber to change clothes.

After changing his clothes to a butcher's plastic made clothes, he went towards a worker, chopping the skinned pigs.
