Chapter 122 - Deal later (2/2)

Wincing at the pain that went through her, Jieun began trembling faster, and she did not have the energy to look up to Taehee. For sure, she was dead now.

"I'll deal with you later," Taehee voiced out before turning her back on Jieun and walking outside.

Falling down, she hugged her knees and started crying in a distraught manner. What had she done?

°°°

Jinhee winced in pain.

The bookshelf fell down, and due to the table supporting it, it did not entirely come down on Jinhee. The books rained upon her, and some of them hit her violently.

Pain went through her entire body, and she did not have the energy to move. Various parts of her body was wounded by books, and blood flowed out.

A drop of blood trickled down her forehead and came in contact with her eyes. Feeling the uncomfortable sensation, Jinhee raised her hand to wipe that away.

The action of raising her hand made her feel like as if hundreds of pins were pierced through her han and then, bricks were thrown top of that hand.

Hearing faint footsteps, Jinhee felt hope rise within her, and although it was very difficult, Jinhee removed few of the books from above of her.

Few times, she also let out cries of pain. A part of Jinhee wanted to give up and close her eyes here, forgetting all pain.

However, her will to survive was stronger. As it was impossible for her to walk, Jinhee slowly crawled to the door whilst wincing in pain.

"There's someone here!" Jinhee yelled out in her hoarse tone with the hopes that certain person will help you.

Pushing her knee forward, Jinhee tried to move closer to the door. A sharp ache went through her stomach, and Jinhee let out a gasp.

Her consciousness was fading away, and no matter how hard she pushed herself, Jinhee was unable to move further.

"Help!" She weakly called.

Hearing someone opening the lock, Jinhee's lips curved up to a smile. Finally, someone was there for her.

In the midst of the darkness, Jinhee heard someone running towards her. This was enough to make Jinhee feel relief, and slowly, Jinhee closed her eyes.

A warmth engulfed her body soon enough, and a soft voice whispered into her ear.

"I'm here now, Jinhee-ah. Sorry for being late."
