Chapter 77 - Yule Ball part 2 (1/2)

As the music started playing, the four champions walked towards the center of the hall and opened the act. As Neal and Daphne looked at each other, he placed one of his hands over her waist and the other held her hand. At that moment, suddenly, Daphne shivered for a second in a surprise before quickly calming down.

While Fleur, Krum and their partners started the dance smoothly, Harry seemed to have trouble as his hands were a little bit shivering in excitement as he grabbed Cho Chang's waist and her hands. Meanwhile, Neal and Daphne's pair also started roughly as somehow Daphne had a hard time to sync with Neal.

When the Professors and the other students shake their heads in a sigh as if their start destroyed their expectations. Neal looked at her with a frown on his face, ”what happened? we practiced it many times. Why are you having a hard time to sync with my movements?”.

Daphne apologized, ”I'm sorry, I'm a bit overwhelmed with the attention and was nervous. Why don't you take the lead, I'll follow your movements, instead”. Neal nodded and quickly as she caught up with him, their performance turned into a beautiful one like every one pictured in their heads.

After the first song ended, everyone else too stepped forward started dancing with their partners and made the champions no longer the center of attention. One after another, the songs were being played and Neal and Daphne didn't stop dancing at all and laughing while chatting with each other, completely in their own world.

Then, the leader of the Weird sisters' band spoke in excitement,

”This one's going out to all the lovers out there. Hold each other tight, and keep each other warm. And dance your final dance”

By then, most of them left the stage and stood in the corner while a few left the Great hall. As the slow and romantic song started, only a few pairs started dancing to it. Most of them are couples. Meanwhile, those who were standing in the corner looking at Neal and Daphne enviously while murmuring, ”I guess, they are a couple”. ”I can't believe my Neal would get taken over by that b***h”. ”Damn, what a stamina they have. They are dancing non-stop without taking any rest”.

While Tracey left for the dormitory, Celia is busy with cursing for a while before leaving the Great hall with her date, Tomas Macmillan, a sixth year Ravenclaw.
