Chapter 15 - Ready Captain? (1/2)

Steve came wearing his iconic dress with his shield.

Kyle: ”Ready, Captain?”

Steve: ”Always, sir”

I just laughed and went to Elly.

Kyle: ”Elly, Brother is going with Captain America to kick some bad guys you stay with Aunt Carter.”

Elly: ”Okay, Brother. Bye”

I kissed her on forehead and went with Steve to a room to discuss the plan with other officials.

{Inside the room}

Colonel Phillips was waiting with other officials for me and Steve. They were discussing about whether to send Steve with me or not.

Officer1: ”Colonel, I think you should think it over. He is the only Super Soldier we have.”

Officer2: ”I also support it. We only have him to recreate the serum.”

Col: ”Don't worry, gentlemen. I am sending my best man with him. You all know about Major Kyle and his deed. He alone went to the army camp and finished the mission single handily.”

Officer1: ”But…”

Col: ”No buts, gentlemen. I know my men and their capabilities. I know if he can't do it than no one can. Let them come and discuss further.”

I knocked the door and entered the room with Steve. Everyone was staring me and Steve.

Kyle: ”Major Kyle Silvers, Reporting Sir.”

Steve: ”Captain Steve Rogers, Reporting Sir.”

Col: ”Ok Gentlemen now come, sit down and further discuss the plans.”

We both took our seats. Colonel was going to say something but Steve interrupted him.

Steve: ”Thank you, Sir. For allowing me to go on a mission.”

Col: ”Don't thank me Captain. It was all Kyle and if you don't perform as expected on this mission. Never hope to return with him. So, better save your sorry ȧss.”

Kyle: ”Sir, I have thought of a Strategy.”

Col: ”Go ahead, Major.”

Kyle: ”Sir, I will do this mission as the last time. We will use the night time in our favour. I will…”

Col: ”Major, I know you did well in the last mission but we don't want to take risks. You are one of the best men we have. Can't afford to lose you.”

Kyle: ”I am not alone, sir. Captain Rogers will be with me. We will sneak into the base and rescue our man. Hydra has some advanced tech as I have seen on my last mission. If we take them head on. It will a massacre on our side. We will destroy them from the inside and hope we can take their weapons with us.”

Col: ”Are you sure Major, can you do it?”

I just nodded and we then started discussing further plans, I told Steve what his role is? We discussed routes and escapes. After an hour or two, I asked.

Kyle: ”Sir, we are doing this mission secretly. Last time someone from the inside leaked our information.”

Col: ”Don't worry, Major. Those who are present in this room will not leave from here till you get back from there.”

Kyle: ”Sir if you would, send Howard with his plane. He can be believed.”

Col: ”Ok Major, you have till 8' o clock in the night, rest up and be ready. Dismissed.”

I saluted and left the room. Steve did the same and left the room. I met him in the corridor.

Kyle: ”How are you feeling, Captain?”

Steve: ”A little excited, I guess.”
