Chapter 9 - Super Soldier (2/2)

I am currently with Steve and going to take a shower. 5 minutes later I came with only a towel covering my lower half. I saw Agent Carter there sitting on a chair near Steve. Seeing me, her face just got red. I thought about teasing her.

Kyle: ”What are you doing here, Agent Carter.”

Kyle: ”Should I just go outside so you can have you time alone with Steve.”

Agent: ”What are you talking about Soldier, I came here for you.”

Kyle: ”SO, should I send Steve Outside, so we can be alone”

Agent: (reddened face) ”…”

Kyle: ”I just teasing you Agent, SO what do you want to talk about with both of us.”

Agent: (Calming Down)” What do you know about project rebirth and super soldier program?”

Kyle: ”We were recruited under Super Soldier Program Which is a part of Project rebirth. That's All”

Agent: ”Super Soldier Program was designed to select a person at the end of it to give him Supernatural Body which will have no limits.”

Kyle:” So we both are selected for your experiment, Right?”

Agent: ”Exactly”

Kyle: ”Than what's the problem.”

Agent: ”But we only have permission to perform this once and all the higher ups want Kyle to be first but DR. Erskine who is the main researcher wants Steve to be the first. So, you have to choose between yourself”

Kyle: ”What's there to choose, Steve will take it.”

Steve: ”Why me? It will benefit you more. You are perfect for it. You are a true soldier.”

Kyle: ”That's the point Steve. I am fit for being a soldier. They won't let me go to waste but what about you? Do you think they will keep you here with all your asthmatic problems and this scrawny body? You got the chance boy, don't wait for it.”

Steve: ”But…”

Kyle: ”No buts soldier. I will meet you at the frontlines.”

Kyle: (To Carter)” Okay mam, we have decided but I have a request to make. Can you send me to the frontlines?”

Agent: ”I will look into it.”

{After Some Days}

I was ordered to for to the frontlines near France.

When I reach the frontlines. The things I saw there just made me puke. Men were just living worse than animals inside the trenches. I met the sergeant in command there.

Kyle: ”Soldier Kyle, Reporting Sir”

Ser: ”You are still no soldier, recruit. Wait for the next trip to frontlines and we'll see if you have the guts but don't die”

After some time, a jeep came up I got in the jeep. It started moving. There are some RPG's, hand grenades, mostly bullets in there. I just stored few of each in my inventory. Suddenly I heard a firing towards our jeep they killed the driver and started looking for the keys for the back door of the jeep to take stuff from us.

When they opened the gate. I shot the nearest one in the head and took my knife, threw it toward others heart. In less than a second both were dead.

I went back to jeep and went towards the frontlines.
