Chapter 30 - Stunning (2/2)
It was just an extra’s role. It would save the crew the trouble of finding another one.
Director Zheng was happy to sell Jiang Zhi a favor. He appointed a role for the “Young prince of debauchery” and indicated for the person to enter the crew directly. There was no need for an audition.
Young Prince of Debauchery?
Jiang Zhi nodded her chin gently. Her eyebrows were slightly curved. Lu Mian was tall and had a noble temperament. He was in line with the image of a prince.
As for being a romantic…
Well, he seemed to be quite a romantic as well.
Taking advantage of the fact that there was no one around, Jiang Zhi rang Lu Mian up, who picked up immediately as if he had been waiting for her.
“You finally remembered me.”
Jiang Zhi deliberately ignored the accusation in Lu Mian’s tone and said in a businesslike manner, “We’ve talked about the role. You’ll join the team next Tuesday.”
She had thought that Lu Mian would be happy, but she heard him speak in an even lower tone.
“Two more days.”
Jiang Zhi did not understand. Lu Mian let out a low sigh, and his tone was rarely serious.
“Jiang Zhi, I was wrong.”
“I overestimated myself. I thought I could last three days without seeing you.”
“But I can’t even last a minute.”
His mellow and elegant voice slowly glided past, and it was so irritating that her eardrums felt numb.
“Jiang Zhi, what kind of drug did you give me?”
Jiang Zhi’s ears were slightly red. She pursed her lips and felt indignant at his accusation.
“I didn’t…”
A low laugh came from the phone. The words of love were like poison wrapped in sugar. “Then why am I so obsessed with you?
“I want to see you.
“Every minute, every second, every moment, I want to be with you.”
“Shut up!”
Feeling the heat on her face, Jiang Zhi was both embarrassed and angry. “Do you still want to come over?”
“Of course.”
Lu Mian answered in a low voice, his voice like a cello.
“I’m here for you, Jiang Zhi.”
The last sentence completely made Jiang Zhi’s heart race.
