Chapter 151 - 144 (1/2)
Although Feng Cui didn't participate in the crude activity, in the eyes of the second prince, he was truly a disappointment. As they didn't get along, it wasn't his business to meddle with him.
The President continued to monitor but he didn't expect that silver haired young man caught his attention awhile ago due to the strange disappearance, appeared in the same area of the eighth prince. This situation piqued Feng Zi's interest as he wanted to see what will the latter would do.
And unsurprisingly, Chun helped the girl and beat up Feng Cui's lackeys. Though Feng Zi had been disinterested with his younger brother's affair, he still wanted to see the actions of the other. If this proud prince would retaliate or cry over it.
Yet he had never foresee that Feng Cui would acknowledged the former and even wanted to follow the other which was odd the eighth prince as he had never been the one to see attention due to his status.
This was the start of the second prince' curiosity but when he finally saw the silver haired young man as he deliberately met her and her party. He was able to grasp something about why his younger brother would attach himself to this person.
Feng Zi then secretly investigated the silver haured young man's background but after obtaining an information about her, he went silent.
The President cleared his throat as he began to talk.
”Welcome!! First years. I repeat, Congratulations for passing the test but although you had passed it, no sweat. The real hardwork will start once you begin attending our prestigious school!”
His warm and clear voice could invoked comfort and calmness that made the newbies who heard him felt that he was amiable.
The President's carefree and relax manner made their tense and tight nevrves loosened and even their guard was down a bit.
But despite the welcoming aura and comfortable atmosphere that the second prince emitted, Chun knew that something must be up here.
As she pensively stared at the President, Feng Zi glanced at her and the silver haired young man saw a glimpsed of his curled lips that widened a bit.
A sense of apprehension rose within Chun.
-------------------
In the middle of the President's announcement, Chun wasn't paying attention a bit as she was discreetly observing the Charmers who just arrived.
They had spent five days in this space and finally the Council were able to decide.
The silver haired young man was into her scheme of discovering already the other two targets of conquest. Her hand was already sat atop the mission card on her pocket while she kept her alert high, waiting for a trigger to appear but to no avail, there wasn't any targets anymore.
'Well thank you!' Chun thought with sarcasm as she sighed in comfort. Those three were already difficult and why would she needed two more to appear.
Coincidentally, the silver haired young man felt a familiar penetrating gaze on her which she followed where it came from and spotted the smiling President in front who glanced and smiled at her yet somehow that smile wasn't like his gentle smile, it was like a smile that had a hidden meaning.
Chun sensed something fishy as she didn't let down her guard. Even Amper who had sharp instincts wasn't fooled by the amiable appearance of the second prince as she awaited silently what the Council had prepared. She looked at Daia and the others with a meaningful stare that they immediately perceived.
The silver haired young man was almost scared by a sudden contact of hand on her shoulder but when she found out who was it, she gazed at the eighth prince in question. Leika was also beside Feng Cui as she was dragged by the other without warning.
Although, this two-faced prince who was always surrounded and protected by his followers, as a prince who grown up in the Royal Palace and under the Supreme Ruler. He was well-trained in top condition. That act of not able to survive in the Baligroot Forest awhile ago was just an excuse to latch with the silver haired young man that had taken a liking of.
The princes and princesses who 'grew' up in the Royal Palace after the age of five suffered what to be a official royal family member. Only the ninth prince had not yet met the trainings of a true royal noble in the hands of the Supreme Ruler as he was sent to the Snow Palace after the age of five.
Even the most frivolous and lazy sixth prince had an ability to kill an army with his bȧrėhands, it truly depicted the saying about don't judge a book by its cover.
