Chapter 47 - 45 (1/2)
Darkness enveloped her vision as she woke up from her deep slumber. There wasn't any light present as she turned around. She tried widening her eyes in order to confirm that she was not still asleep. Sleeping there for a long time was an eternal nightmare for her, the hands that were holding her down, immobilizing her and suffocating her from detachment.
Dug. Dug.
The loneliness was drowning her.
Dug. Dug.
Depressing thoughts invaded her mind.
Dug. Dug.
The vivid mocking of the demons surrounded her hearing.
Dug. Dug.
A dot suddenly appeared in her sight. It increased in numbers until a white human stature was formed.
She momentarily stopped herself from taking it but she built up her resolved and grabbed it.
'You're now reawaken as a half-deity. May luck be by your side.' The voice on her thoughts was from the white light as she was holding its hand.
Then the hand let go of her as she plummeted down.
Looming thunder and dark grey clouds was up the skies as an unprecedented event was happening within the created space of the silver box. Titus the deity of Prevalent Tragedy did not expect that 'she' would wake up now. He felt lucky to witness a birth of a deity, more like the reawakening of a deity.
The long silver haired beautiful young woman breathed through her mouth as scarlet red eyes glimpsed at the looming dark skies. She gestured for her hand to be receive as Titus helped her up.
”Pandora? Do you remember me?” The deity asked hesitantly.
The deep in thought young woman turned her attention to the man beside her as moment of recognition passed on her eyes.
”Titus? You're alive?” She stated in her rasped voice.
A hint of joy was seen on the deity's expression as he looked at the young woman.
”So you remembered?”
The young woman massaged her head as she replied, ”A bit. I still need the other fragments.”
Titus nodded and an idea suddenly went up on his mind.
”Do you still remember your human self?”
”Human self?” She whispered as she looked at her jade-like hands. Crashing memories of a silver haired youth invaded her mind, a school's destruction, dying students and teachers by the hands of the demons and her students. Grief and remorse emerged on her expression as she looked at the surprised deity.
Titus awkwardly scratched the back of his head as he saw the teary face of the young woman that was once his close friend. Still, he did not know how to comfort her even in the past.
'Right. I am Chun Shuho, a girl disgused as a boy because of a curse, an oracle that was detrimental to my family and the people around me. I went to the TwinCity continent in order to find the fragmented memories that was originally mine. I met my students there and we faced cases together as I sometimes played around with them. And suddenly, during the world winter tournament, the demons attacked and reinforcement was late. I died because I confronted one of the generals of the Demon King and the last memories was a very familiar voice that I heard calling to me until I lose consciousness.'
”What happened after I died I mean my human self died? What happened to that butler?”
Titus arranged the events on his head as he responded, ”After your human body died, it disappeared like dust. As you had gained already the first fragment, it helped you from ressurecting and be awaken. And oh, I saw that butler of yours was so furious as he killed his general, knowing that he's a prince of the demons.”
Chun nodded as she processed what she heard. It was likely to be Art's reaction but did not the contract between them take in effect as she died? They had a master-slave contract, even though he would not die as she had died, he would still felt the unbearable pain like two wings being ripped from the back.
She worriedly then inquired, ”How is Art?”
”Are you not asking first about your condition? Why worry about the others?” Titus noticed the sharp glare of the young woman so he surrendered to it.
”Alright, he's not in a good state at this moment. Maybe he only have five months left for his life.”
”Then I need to save Art!” Chun was about to stand up when the deity stopped her from doing drastic.
