What would I do when things get stuffy? Kira Su thought while peering through the sand that she was in.

A few minutes ago before this happened, Kira was set for her trap on capturing a pygmi and this was the location where this giant birds would land for collecting their food which were known as sandworms.

Eventually, she waited for some minutes until she heard several foots that were heading to where she was setting the trap seal and because she did not want to delay any time for putting it again then she interferred to this run-and-chase game.

Then, coincidentally, it lead to this.

Fa Jiu was presently facing the five fully clothed chasers and fortunately Kira Su appeared with her majestic fluttering black cape and illuminating rapier.

Kira Su nodded to the latter and they were facing back to back from each other, encircling with them the five chasers.

The girl with her black cape thrusted her rapier towards the swordsman's hand dropping his sword, she effortlessly kick him at his neck, knocking the swordsman out of cold.

Fa Jiu throw her dagger towards the archer, slicing her bowstring into half. She then draw out some explosion spell using it against the two others, surprising them from the loud bang.

Due to the sudden explosion the desert plains was placed in a mess, dust particles were thrown around, blinding their opponents.

*WAAAACKK WAAAAAAACCCKKK

In an instant they stop moving, they were alarmed by the piercing cries from the upcoming creature above. Its silhouette was like a small bird hovering up near the scorching sun, as it came near...

It's not a 'small' bird. Fa Jiu thought while gaping from this nearing creature, she was suddenly pulled by Kira to the ground, the latter was on top of her while covering both of themselves of her black cape.

”What are you---”

”Alphilam surrex liua quiolo pi?”

”Tria zithran no”

”Doi?”

”Xuo ki cui lo”

The unfamiliar exchange of their opponents was making Fa Jiu confuse, she never heard this kind of language before.

”You don't understand the language of the desert?” Kira suddenly ask in a whisper.

Obviously.

Language of the desert?

Fa Jiu just keep her mouth shut. Listening to the conversations of the five.

Dusts were twirling in the air while a sound of wings hovering was nearing the ground.

*WAAAAAAAAACCCKKK

That was the giant bird, the five fully clothed people shouted and they cast a teleportation spell to flee away from this so called giant bird, suddenly the surroundings went quiet as they departed, only the chirping of the bird was heard.

”What was that?” Fa Jiu asked the silent Kira Su in a whisper, they were still in their hiding position.

”It's a pygmi”

Fa Jiu went still as she heard the name, literally? A pygmi?

Pygmis were considered to be dangerous creatures other than they love to hunt down sandworms for 'themselves', yes, themselves; only some rare occassions that their younglings would be able to last for days because sometimes they eat their chicks if they're too many of them and if they were unable to give food to them and because of these they were few of them nearly extinct. And another fact, they're carnivorous.

A chill pass by Fa Jiu's spine, she can't imagine when being eaten by this ferocious bird, other than it looks like a phoenix but its mouth was like a pincer and when it opens, too many shark-like teeth on display. Pygmis are creepy creature, not an ideal bird.

”How can we escape from this giant bird?”
