Chapter 123 - Brides (1/2)
Henry knew that Beth didn't like the offer from that private school. She hated it. However, he didn't stop pressuring her parents, the Smith couple, to force her into signing the papers.
That way, she will always be protected and near him. She will always be before his eyes.
”Who are you? What are you doing here? Do you have permission to enter this place?”
A girl with blond long hair looked at Beth with a raised brow. She was wearing a beautiful white dress made of the finest fabrics. Her whole persona looked like the daughter of some wealthy family.
Beth couldn't help but smirk at her. She was now more familiar with the rich and arrogant young masters. Some of them would visit the Mansion, and she was tactful enough to not cross paths with them.
Mateo always gave her a warning when those brats came, so she can be cautious not to meet them.
”Who are you?” Beth answered back with an indifferent expression. She knew the best way to taunt those arrogant people. Just give them a bit of indifference, and they will go out and make a fuss.
”Heh… you are asking me that?” as expected, the blonde fell into the trap. ”I am the Young Master fiancée.”
She raised a brow, hoping for the girl with red hair and beautiful golden eyes to kneel and beg for her forgiveness. The cheap uniform from the girl gave her the confidence to say those words. She had never seen her before in the house and as Henry's birthday was around the corner, she wanted to give him a surprise ahead of the rest of the classroom.
Beth looked at the girl with a raised brow. It is not that she didn't believe her, as it seemed that almost all the little girls that were allowed inside the Mansion had the same thought or delusion.
She had heard at least twenty more saying the same words, though, not to her. Now she can add one more to the list.
”Is that so?” Beth nodded, she looked top to bottom at the little girl in her fantastic white dress. ”You look the most outstanding of them all.”
She said with a finger in her chin. ”There had been at least ten more that had told me the same words.”
The blonde widened her eyes in surprise. ”What are you talking about?”
”That there had been another ten that had claimed to be Young Master Henry's fiancée.”
The girl opened her mouth but didn't know what to say. She was a small teen yet, so she didn't manage to pull out anything clever.
”Wh… who?”
”I don't know her names, but…” Beth leaned her head to one side, ”I remember her looks, do you want to know?”
The blonde walked over to the seat next to Beth and nodded with eagerness.
Beth smiled a little, trying to hide her mischievous smirk. ”Well, I am only a little daughter of a maid that was allowed to use some books, as you can see, I don't have that much money to spend…”
The little blonde had already taken out at least a hundred dollars from her purse.
”Will you tell me?”
”Good, however, this will only cover half of them.”
The girl hadn't brought any more money and was hesitating. 'This girl might not have an account… tch…'
”I can pay you tomorrow.”
”How can I be sure?” Beth raised her phone, ”you can transfer me the money. I don't mind.”
”…”
After that sinister extortion, Beth gave a full description of the ten girls. Three blondes, two redheads, and five with long black silky hair.
”What is your name?” the little blonde was finishing writing the descriptions of the ten girls.
She knew at least six of them and was making plans to obliterate them in school. However, the other four were a mystery.
”Isn't it proper for you to introduce yourself first,” Beth smiled, already taking her backpack with her.
She had a very fructiferous encounter.
”My name is Reina Luna,” the little girl extended her hand with an innocent smile. Beth was a bit taken back. She had never known a girl of the high society that could change her mind that easily.
”Hello, my name is Beth,” she shook her hand and smiled brightly.
For a moment, Reina became surprised, the bright smile of that beautiful girl was impressive. Then a sudden fear started growing in her mind.
The beautiful red-haired girl was also an enemy. Such a gorgeous girl should not stay in that house along with Henry, it could cause many problems in the future. What if… he starts to like her?
Beth somehow noticed the change of expression of the blonde and smirked. It seemed that some people don't change at all.
