Chapter 110 - Chocolate Muffin (1/2)

”Moira!”

The shameless knights of Eylos tried to kill James.

They were not using fake swords, even when the school didn't allow the use of real weapons inside the premises. However, it seemed that they didn't care at all, how brave of them to go against the regulations of the Academy and the Kingdom of Lith.

Therefore, they will have to face the consequences for their impudence.

”Ahhh!”

Suddenly, the body of the impudent knight crashed into a strong tree with a hard kick and a footprint on the stomach. He couldn't believe it as he widened his eyes in surprise and fear.

”Who… how is this…?”

His words were cut short when the same person who engraved him in wood was walking to his side. Soft black hair, red bright eyes combining with her beautiful red long dress. A beautiful young girl with a terrifying aura.

”What… what are you doing? Attack her!” he shouted to the other knights as he feared for his life. ”Kill her!”

The other soldiers were still in awe, but they quickly reacted to the voice of their commander. However, not many seconds later, three more soldiers were thrown to the same tree before losing consciousness.

'Weaklings,' Moira muttered as she walked towards their bodies. 'So weak.”

”Don't come near me… stay away!”

She kneeled towards the stupid man that had wanted to teach a lesson to her fiancé. Then she made a signal with her hand and the cute black Shadow appeared from behind the bushes. She was carrying a small basket in her mouth.

”Wha… what is that?” the knight was trembling nonstop seeing the little cat approach him. ”What are you going to do to me?”

Moira didn't answer but took a little package from the basket. It seemed like a little muffin of chocolate with a little cherry on the top.

She gave it to him. 'Eat it.'

The Knight frowned but seeing her ċȧrėssing her sword threatening her neck made him comply faster. However, he somehow felt that the little chocolate muffin was even worse than the sword on her hands.

James and Collin watched the scene from behind with a horizontal line in their mouths. They had never known that she would use such a weapon on this battlefield. They felt pity for the poor soldier about to experience the worst kind of torture.

*Boom*

That was the soldier's body jumping to the sky from the effects of the muffin.

”Just what did she put inside…?”

”Don't ask,” James said while gulping.

”Are you okay?” Collin was waiting for the soldiers of his father to be defeated before moving with the rest of the contest. However, he never knew that they would be so vicious.

James frowned and looked at his arms. He was injured, though, it was not threatening.

”I will be fine.”

”Let me help,” Collin offered, but before he could cast a healing spell, he saw something coming from afar. ”Hide!”

Moira took James on her back and Collin followed to the back of some trees.

”Who are them?” James whispered with sweat on his forehead.

The rush made his injuries open more, making him fret in pain.

”They are…” Collin narrowed his eyes, ”ghost soldiers from Feirn… maybe from another contestant.”

James didn't know about the details of the strange tournament going on, but he knew that his friends were on it. Later, he will make Moira tell him, but now he could only follow the flow.

'Stay hidden,' Moira said as he ċȧrėssed James' face. 'I will be right back.'

She gave Collin a glance and then jumped into the tree. Even with her beautiful red dress, she had the agility to follow those guys.

”Heal me,” James whispered to Collin.

”You cannot follow her,” the golden fish said while casting the healing spell on James' body, ”they are several times stronger than you.”

”I know, but…”

”Let's go to the Princess tower.”

Collin helped James stand up, however, before they could move to the main entrance of the tower. The sudden voice of the Princess echoed in between the trees.

”Knights, and fellow contenders, I know you are there waiting to gain the first and most amazing victory of this strange tournament.”

The voice of Anne resounded in the beautiful gardens of the Academy.
