Chapter 93 - The true meaning of procrastination (1/2)
”This year, we will give you a project in teams to develop,” Teacher Lena started speaking.
The first-year students of the engineering path were ȧssembled in the hall ready to know the teams they were randomly accommodated in. They had a little paper in their hands with a color and a number.
”Which color did you get, my princess?” Kelly asked as she was one of the fans of the shameless princess.
”Gold,” Anne showed the color and the whole group turned to see her, looking for anyone with the same color.
However… there was no one, except for a red-eyed girl with a gold paper and the number two.
”There is no way to change the teams at this point, so you will have to do your best with the resources you have, even if that means two human resources.”
Teacher Lena looked at Anne and Moira that for the nth time that year, they had arrived later.
”Maybe if… only if someone had arrived earlier and stopped bribing me with my guilty pŀėȧsurė, then I would have considered adding some other minions into their group…”
”Hey!” the other students protested. They were called minions again by their teacher without remorse.
”What? How can you complain when you have not shown any other will to change?” teacher Lena reprimanded with all the truth in the world.
They stopped complaining after several thoughts, and they noticed that she was right. They had not done anything against the Princess that had dominated the leader position from the moment she stepped inside the Academy.
How can they forget when they first fought for school's freedom at the school cafeteria? How can they forget when they first led the teachers to paranoia when the Princess told them they were being watched? How to forget that their new school pet Gandalf that was not allowed in the school, had led a revolution for all the pets in the world?
They had all been led by the nose by the shameless princess as her minions, so how can they forget their role at this moment?
Her new invention! It would be a revolutionary device, greater than the MINI, greater than any other thing they had seen in this world.
”Princess?”
”Mm?”
Kelly waved her hands before the princess that was fantasizing in plain daylight. She was even bold to smile and stop hearing Teacher Lena's instructions and safety measures. Evidently, Anne skipped all that and even the restrictions.
”Muahahahaha!” she let go an evil laugh before the other students lowered their heads to hide their fear.
”…” Teacher Lena was the only one who didn't succumb to the immense terror and evilness of the princess. She only looked at the others with a frown and a twitch on her lips.
After the school project announcement, the group dissolved and went back to their usual activities. Namely, studying, finishing some pending tasks, or helping around the teachers' duties, some others, with a proactive mind and a creative spirit, were doing their best to create projects to entertain their restless minds.
However, there were others, the lesser ones with a more fascinating activity. The kind of thing that only they can do in times of stress, they were procrastinating.
”Do you know what the word procrastinating means, Moira?”
'No, Master,' the sweet Moira was playing with her new members of the pack that had somehow increased to six. They were all young and full of energy and, of course, they were idolizing the white fluffy dog on the side watching them carefully with their blue eyes.
”The world procrastination came from the famous tomorrow, the future,” Anne said while eating another piece of fruit tart. ”To wait, and to think about tomorrow, to get inspiration and then think again in waiting for the right moment… usually the last moment.”
”…” Tia was about to face slap when thinking about the shameless words of her princess. If she didn't know her better, she will think that the shameless level in the world had risen to a new height.
'Didn't you get banned from eating another piece of fruit tart, my princess?' Anne signaled when her Master made a move to take the other piece of tart.
Anne looked at Moira with sad eyes and nodded. However, she then looked at Tia with a yearning gaze.
”Princess Anne, the last medic check was good, but you cannot exceed the amount, you only can have two pieces a day.”
”Procrastination, to wait until tomorrow,” Anne repeated while looking at the fruit tart in the table. ”Don't worry, I will come back for you.”
”…”
'…'
The seven pairs of eyes of fluffy wolves and one white dog, ”…”
