Chapter 57 - Conquering the Fear of Heights (1/2)
”Princess?”
Luca, the silly boy who didn't need to use glasses to see better but was forced to use them. He was the captain of the Eagle Club, and so, the first requirement to enter such a club was to have almost perfect sight. Even if they had to use an enchantment to achieve that, anyone who wished to enter needed to go through it.
The famous Eagle club, they were summoners and liked to use the magic to connect with any kind of animal, to see through their eyes. To feel the life of the wild. However, as the name said, they were most fond of eagles, those beautiful, and sometimes, terrifying animals that had the signature of being proud and solitary. Their eyes, however, reached further than any and the club members especially connected with them to inspect the terrains that went further than the Academy's land. So no need for glasses when they could see through those wonderful yellow eyes.
However, now that Luca thought about it, he liked the feeling of wearing glasses. It gave him the aura of an intellectual and smart guy. Perfect to attract that Joey from his club. The idiot ignored his approaches blatantly saying that he looked stupid.
”Princess, can I take them off, now?”
”What is going on?” Anne sipped her tea and looked into the glasses. ”What are you going to do?”
”Princess?”
Luca was confused, his eyes were looking at the Princess, but it seemed that the young beautiful girl was not looking at him. The feeling of having someone else using his body as some kind of messenger tool was strange and somehow uncomfortable. He would need to go to the school counselor later to talk about the odd experience and about his own existence. Though, he will make sure to investigate beforehand who is the teacher in the counseling room first. The idea of being trapped with Teacher Druon was frightening. One time, he was careless and Wizard Druon was inside the room serving a sentence imposed by the School Principal. That day will pass as the worst moment in Luca's life. He had to go to another counselor for a week and to use some enchantments to get back to his original human form and stop being some buŧŧerfly.
The idiot wizard said that to help him overcome the fear of heights, he needed to feel how it is to fly, and so he transformed the poor guy into a buŧŧerfly. However, Luca never had any fear of heights from the beginninh, he was the captain of the Eagle club for god's sake. Now he had developed a strange paranoia, making him feel as if someone was lurking around ready to eat him, and, of course, an irrational fear for frogs.
”Do you need any help?” Anne was still looking with a raised brow at the little boy in front of her that had already deviated into his own thoughts. Maybe that is the reason why he was hypnotized… ”Are you sure?” she said to the one on the glasses.
”Princess Anne, who are you talking to?” Luca came back from his little world when he heard her voice.
”Princess?” he wanted to take off his glasses but the red-eyed girl behind the Goddess shook her head slightly. She was sending a soft threat to his body and soul, to not make a move or the consequences will be dire.
He gulped and didn't say another word.
”Then… you should take precautions, don't use the students randomly,” she said with a concerned voice but everyone knew that she was the first to use randomly the innocents souls of the students to make her evil deeds. For idiotic they looked like.
”You can go now,” Princess Anne signaled Luca, but he had many questions in his mind. However, the goddess didn't wait any longer and jumped into the magic cloud that would take her to the boys' tower to see her darling. She had borrowed the flying cloud from the slave Wizard, or more likely she stole it.
Luca only looked at her astonished. She was indeed a goddess for being able to restrain the shameless tricks of that wizard. ”How brave…”
He moved out of the room and raised again his hands to his eyes to feel the strange glasses, but there was nothing there. ”This is strange,” he touched again and looked around to see if the glass had fallen down, but there was nothing.
”It must be some kind of new interesting magic. Such enchantment must have been from a genius,” he muttered in awe, but at the same time, with fear in his heart.
”Who could it be?” he said on his way to the counselor's room. Now that he was used two times in a row by some wizards, and he didn't know who was this time, he needed some advice relating to his existence. Is he that worthless? Does he really exist? Where do the glasses go? Did anything of that happen? When will Chef Hugo make more fruit tarts? The last one being the most important question of them all.
”Am I that easy to be used?” he said in a loud voice when he was about to enter the counseling room.
He didn't expect an answer, however, the voice of a boy answered him back.
”Yes,” the boy smiled at him. ”You are so naive,” he said again and walked forward to another room.
”Hey!” Luca woke up from his daze again feeling used. However, his ears were burning and his rosy cheeks were slowly transforming into a tomato. ”Joey!”

The winter was already over, the holidays for the young students had passed and some of the young boys that were still welcomed with warm arms into their houses returned to another cycle of the school year. Anne, of course, was one of those that was most awaited in her Country. Even her entourage of knights was regarded as idols and very important people by the citizen of Lith.
”Henry,” she called when the number of fans in the forum of her dear fiancée reached a new record. ”When are you going to stop being so handsome?”
”Why? Don't you like it?”
