Chapter 11 - Death is hereditary and… incurable. (1/2)
”Did you heard?”
”Yes, it was impressive, the Medic Wizard of Forth was escorted inside the Palace this morning.”
”Yes, I knew it, but why?”
”Some Palace servants said that he came to cure sadness.”
”What?! How is that possible?”
”How would I know? I was so shocked when I heard that, that I immediately started to cry.”
”Well, don't worry, you will be cured soon.”
”…”
The Kingdom of Lith was fervently awake that day. The bustling stores and markets where the commoners shared their thoughts and news, the tea parties from the noble houses where refined woman liked to spread and create rumors, the clubs, and studies where men liked to disperse politics and manage their jobs, everyone was now talking about the news of the Palace.
A wizard of such caliber was something difficult to find and attract. They were known for being arrogant but powerful. Only kingdoms with great connections to the wizardly world, could hope for an audience with such men.
But, now the Wizard from Forth was inside of the Palace as an honored guest.
”Julian…” A handsome man was standing before the great childish King of Lith.
However, his hands were tied with a powerful knot in the back. He could use his magic to break it but he thought it would for sure ruin his style in front of the beautiful Queen Elisa, her long time crush.
” Darling.” He smiled and nodded his head in a greeting. ”Why did you bring me like this? I could have appeared before you with only one of your words, even more with only a smile on my picture and I will feel your love for me from afar. Don't need to tie me up, unless that… you like this kind of game.”
”Off with his head!” The King couldn't contain his rage. The damn flirtatious man had always made passes at his beautiful wife, he couldn't tolerate it anymore.
”Darling!” Queen Elisa came to the rescue.
”But, he is being disrespectful.”
”Stop it! Gosh… Druon we asked you to come here for a favor. I hope you can understand.”
”I am sorry, darling, I can't.”
”But… why?”
”Because I am tied of hands.” He smiled slyly at the King on the side who hadn't given the order of untying him.
”I will order for you to be let go.”
”In any case, I will only concede the favor if he asks me politely, like a civil person.”
”Don't push your luck, you trickster.” King Julian was breathing hard trying to cover his anger. Only that man could infuriate him like that.
”Oh my! Then I should go back to my country where I am at least respected.”
Queen Elisa was about to kick the King for him to make an apology and quickly convince the cunning fox in front of them, but someone else beat them to it.
