Yue Wan's heart skipped a beat looking at the man kneeling before her. Her heart was beating so fast that she couldn't take it any longer. If her heart continued to beat so fast, she was afraid she would die right there.

The air between them grew different. An unspeakable tension developed and surrounded them in their own small bubble.

Slowly, Xiao Hua took out the white ring box from his pocket.

'Boom!' Now the firecrackers were going off inside her head. She subconsciously gripped her skirt while her body grew hot.

Xiao Hua took a deep breath and slowly lifted the lid of the box. Holding it up to her, he said with a pause after every word: ”There are three words that I've been dying to say to you since the day we met. Whenever I see you, they burn in my heart, like a fire that will never go out. I want to hold you tight during your sad days and comfort you. I want to wrap my arms around you so that I can protect and shield you from any danger. I want your lips on mine to prove that it was not a dream and that you truly did become a part of me...because of I....”

Biting her lips, Yue Wan willed herself to tilt her head upward and to restrain her tears from flowing down her cheeks. Her vision had already turned blurry as she continued to hold her breath, waiting for his next word.

Xiao Hua looked at her, his eyes filled with passion and enchantment. He said with a deep, hoarse voice, ”Marry me, Wan.”

Those tears that she had so valiantly tried to hold back abruptly fell from her eyes and down her cheeks, as Yue Wan uttered, covering her mouth in shock. ”Ah!”

”I only know one thing and that is that I don't have any meaning without you…Will you be my reason for living? Will you be mine forever?” Xiao Hua's heart was quivering uncontrollably. This time, all his emotions were reflected in his expression.

The chibi wolf in his heart was hiding his face in fear of what his cute wife would say. All of his hopes and dreams rested on the next few words to come out of her mouth. Crossing his fingers, he prayed, 'Say yes~yes~Please say yes~~I swear to you that you will forever be the center of my world, that no one would ever love you as much as I would and do...'

All the past memories of him which had flooded her heart since her rebirth were all washed away as she looked at him, on his knees, promising to be hers for eternity. The words she had been yearning to hear for two lives had finally surfaced.

With swollen lips, teary eyes, and a trembling body, Yue Wan extended her hand out towards him and nodded her head violently, a beautiful smile lit up her face. Unable to contain herself any more, she breathed out the words that he was so desperate for. ”I do! I do a million times and a million times again.”

The breath that was trapped in Xiao Hua's lungs was finally released at her words. His mouth curved up and he gave an open mouth laugh with full of happiness, his handsome face now looked like a child who had finally received the treasure he had always wanted.

Taking the ring from the box, Xiao Hua slid it onto her ring finger and kissed it reverently before he stood up. ”You are bound to me from this moment to all of eternity. There is no going back, Mrs. Xiao.”

Yue Wan who was drenched in happy tears, dove straight into his embrace as she hugged him tightly and hummed in response.

Hugging her as tightly as he could, like he wanted to make her body one with his own, Xiao Hua swung her in circles and made happy noises: ”Whoooo!!!!!!”
