Ye Xian and Yue Xiang grasped her shoulder on either side and said synchronizing: ”It's just a prank, calm down, Little Wan.”

However, fear took over her body just as Lin Xu's blabbering mouth revealed: ”Is that a black fur?”

Those words send a jolt into the four people in the room.

Yue Xiang quickly looked here and there and found that the little brat was nowhere to be seen. Looking at his sister's fragile facial expression, he asked Ye Xian: ”Is he in your house?”

Ye Xiang shook his head: 'No.'

Yue Wan looked at the black and bloodied thing and her lifeless eyes started to shimmer with unshed tears. As her brain connected with what here eyes were seeing, her legs lost their strength and she could no longer feel them.

She couldn't move.

It hurt too much to move.

Before she could lose consciousness, Ye Xian softly caught her in his arms and held her in his embrace. Trying to reassure her, he repeated the same two sentences over and over again in a deep voice: ”It's not him. Our son is alright.”

Yue Yeager's heart squeezed in pain as the image of a sleeping Little Bao flashed in his eyes. Clenching his fist tightly, he yelled. ”Uncle Wang.”

Uncle Wang knew what his Master's request was, so quickly called the Yue Military guards to get to the bottom of this.

Yue Xiang took this opportunity to move closer to the carcass and crouched down on the floor in order to analyse the content. After a minute, his eyes widen in surprise, his cold voice exposed: ”This is not a fur, it's human hair, soaked in blood.”

Recognizing the small shadow, Ye Xian quickly tugged Yue Wan's shoulder with his hand: ”Wan! Look your baby is here.”

Though he hated to address that little brat as 'baby.' Right now, his top priority was Yue Wan.

In a flash, like a mini-tornado, Little Bao jumped onto Yue Wan's body.

As for Yue Wan, she was still in a state of shock, so Ye Xian had to use his hands so that the little guy could be secured to Yue Wan's ċhėst.

To the others, Yue Wan, Ye Xian, and Little Bao looked like a cute family of three in perfect harmony.

Little Bao didn't know the catastrophe he caused by his little disappearing act. When he returned to the room and found out that his mommy had abandoned him in the wolf's den, he was so angry.

However, when he saw the Military men walking inside his home, he was panicked fearing his mommy was in trouble. Also, by reading the atmosphere inside the room and the stinky stuff on the floor, he had a basic grasp of what happened.

Looking at his mommy's pale face, he felt his heart was being twisted by a knife, to soothe her expression, he licked her cheek and meowed slowly.

Feeling a tickling sensation, Yue Wan woke up from her nightmare and stared, eyes wide open, at the guy in her embrace, worried that he was just a figment of her imagination.

”Baby! Bao Bao!” In a weak voice, she called him repeatedly in order to reassure herself that he was really with her.

Little Bao meowed with an expression: 'I'm here, mommy! Sorry for scaring you.'
