Chapter 169 - He Found A Hidden Gem (1/2)

-------Back-to-the-feast-----

Looking at all the different types of food that made up the seafood feast, Chen Ai ġrȯȧnėd for the 10th time.

Tai Sun pressed his back into his chair and folded his hands over his belly. ”Stop monopolizing the food with your eyes. It won't run away.”

Chen Ai looked pissed off and said through clenched teeth: ”Shoo! I'm trying my best to protect the food being devoured by the evil tongfang.”

Liang Li Hua, who was staring at the room entrance keenly, felt like puking blood upon hearing her comment. 'Me! Tongfang! She really lost her mind.'

Even though she had already gone on a rampage from the nonsense that occurred on their way there, she could not summon up the energy to get angry again.

Tai Sun signed as he looked at Chen Ai, ”You are exaggerating. I can clearly see you drooling over the food.”

Chen Ai was about to go crazy over his comment but that was not important right now. She lowered her head and said with a honeyed voice: ”What to do? Every dish looks very delicious, but they are so far away from me...Wooo! Woo!”

”No one can resist the charm of tasty, spicy food.” Liang Li Hua said persuasively.

”I would have to agree with that statement,” Chen Ai said again.

”Don't worry, Little Spring. I won't keep you away from your darling.”

Yue Wan sat between Liang Li Hua and Chen Ai. She gave a fake excuse for her lateness.

Liang Li Hua gave a relieved sigh as Yue Wan didn't hate her presence. Seeing Yue Wan not arriving in the room after such a long time, she had thought that Yue Wan hated her for brazenly trailing along.

Leaning close to Yue Wan, Liang Li Hua asked with much hesitation, ”Miss Yue, do remember me? We used to go to kindergarten together.”

”Xiao Ducklings Daycare?” Yue Wan asked.

Liang Li Hua nodded with excitement: ”Yes! We were there at the same time. Your name was Puss. I always wanted to talk to you about it after entering WAX, but you always seemed to keep to yourself.”

Indeed.

Yue Wan was obviously maintaining a low profile after she became Wei Wan's friend. She didn't want to be involved in any competitions or extracurricular activities.

Yue Wan dug into her childhood memories and remember the Sherk fairytale play where she acted as Puss in Boots! Looking at Lian Li Hua's curly red hair, her eyes widen in realization: ”Dragon?”

Clapping her hand, Liang Li Hua smiled with happiness: ”You got me.”

”I am sorry that I failed to recognise you, Miss Liang.”

”No! No! It's okay. And please, call me Li Li.”

Yue Wan smiled as she said: ”You can call me Little Wan then.”

Feeling that she was beginning to be closer to Yue Wan, Liang Li Hua felt immensely pleased. She blurted out with happiness, ”Little Wan, back then, you were always so strong and never hesitated to say what you were thinking. I really admired you for that, but after General Yue's death, you changed a lot. However, seeing you after what happened at the Xiao Patriarch's party, made me see that the past Yue Wan has been reborn.”

”The past me?”

”Yeah. I still remember that on the first day of kindergarten, you beat a Fat-boy black and blue for pulling your braid. When a teacher asked you 'aren't you scared that he is big and strong'- and you replied 'cowards die many times, but a brave man only dies once and I am not a coward'.”

A memory of her big brother braiding her hair as her father suċkėd at it, so when that Fat-boy touched it, she got snapped at punched his face and broke his nose.
