Chapter 148 - Take Daddy With You Too (1/2)

Unsure whether it was a dream or not, Yue Wan berated herself for behaving immaturely.

Scratching her head, she checked the time. It was almost eleven o'clock: ”Sh*t! I am late!”

Last Night before dinner, Yue Wan received a call from the Shen Family. Mrs. Shen had invited her for a lunch date. Of course, she accepted it without Yue Yeager's consciousness.

She scrambled out of bed and went to wash up. As soon as she was done, she then ran downstairs.

Today's weather was relatively warmer and after her hot shower, Yue Wan changed into her white off-shoulder crop top and paired with a mini jean skirt. In contrast, she wore tall boots that went to her knees and a long coat to avoid getting cold. She had on a simple dress and light make-up. Yet there was a sense of purity to her beauty like driven snow.

----Downstairs------

Yue Yeager and Little Bao were playing around downstairs, or to be more exact, Yue Yeager was trying to brighten up Little Bao's mood since he was kicked out of his mommy's room and ended up sulking in a corner.

Little Bao, who was involuntarily dragged by Yue Xinag into spending the night in his room, was greatly depressed since he would rather be with Yue Wan than Grandpa. After spending the night away, he was really looking forward to seeing mommy. The poor little guy. Now his big eyes were full of sadness and disappointment as he tilted his head away from his grandpa's goofy act.

Suddenly, a clear voice shouted from the top of the stairs: ”Good morning Daddy. Good morning Little Bao.”

Hearing the voice, Little Bao's face immediately lit up and he squirmed free from his grandfather's grasp to dash towards his beautiful Mommy like a shot. With trembling upper lips, he started complaining to her: ”Meow..Moeplicated emotions in her gaze.

As Little Bao started to melt into his Mommy's embrace, he heaved a sigh of contentment.

During the entire night, he was feeling heavy-hearted after being separated from Mommy, he was so close to tears.

Resting his little head on his Mommy's fragrant shoulder, he nuzzled her, just like a little kitten searching for affection. Little Bao made a muffled sound: ”Meow, Meow!”

'Mommy, I was bullied by that meanie Uncle! My buŧŧ hurts!'

Yue Wan patted Little Bao gently on the back and cleared her throat: ”Dad!”

Yue Yeager raised his hand and swore: ”I'm not the one who bullied him, Little Wan. Daddy is innocent.”

A trace of realisation streaked across their mind and grasped them…, in synchronization, they both ġrȯȧnėd.

Yue Yeager clenched his fists: ”That Stinky brat of mine!”

Yue Wan frowned: ”Big Brother, you bully!”

Feeling helpless, she could only coax Little Bao and make him happy again.

After being comforted by his Mommy for more than an hour, Little Bao's heart finally felt at ease, but still, he could not forget his uncle bullying him. He planned to get his revenge soon. He was all fired up, however, that would have to be put on hold temporarily since there was mouth watering food currently being placed in front of him. 'Revenge can only be done on a full stomach,' He thought to himself.

”Dig in! I made it especially for you” Yue Wan placed him down near his bowl and ċȧrėssed his head and back.

His revenge was kicked back as he needs to fill his stomach. With a chubby cheek, he munched and gobbled down the food with speed. After having a mouthful of the sweet and sour pork tenderloin, Little Bao forgot everything around him.

Crispy yet tender… Very tasty…Mommy's cooking is the best...
