Chapter 113 - Youre Just a Dog Relying On The Wei family (1/2)
Wei Wan responded to the knock on the door. ”Come in. ..”
She thought that the person outside was her maid, but the one who entered was...
”Wan Wan. ...” Kuai Hua the birth mother of Wei Wan, sneaked into her room with a concerned eye.
Looking at her mother through the mirror, Wei Wan's face twisted in annoyance. ”Why are you here?”
Kuai Hua's heart tightened when she heard her daughter's unwelcoming words. ”You haven't called me in two weeks, Wan.”
Wei Wan scoffed. ”I am not as idle as you. In order to create a bright future for myself, I need to deal with a lot of things.”
Kuai Hua's face fell for a second before changing back to a neutral expression. ”WanWan, today I made your favorite lunch, so. ...” somewhat nervous, she softly asked, ”Will you join me for lunch.”
Wei Wan looked like she was on her last bit of patience. She slammed her hands on the dressing table and turned to her mother. ”Are you finished?”
Looking at her daughter's anger, Kuai Hua stammered, ”Wh--Wh--at--.”
Cutting off her mother midspeech, Wei Wan's gaze suddenly turned bone-piercingly cold. ”You should act like one of those Mistress of the Wei Xing, not as my mother.”
Kuai Hua's lips trembled as she was so close to blacking out. ”WanWan!”
Wei Wan's face filled malevolence and bitter resentment. She lifted her hands off the table and placed them in her ŀȧp. Looking at her mother she criticized: ”I warned you before. Don't come around here in the name of Motherly love.”
Kuai Hua bit her lip, her eyes teared up: ”Why do you hate me so much? You are my only family in this world. I just want to spend my time----.”
Wei Wan laughed sarcastically. ”Why? Don't you already know? It's because you gave birth to me as a girl in this Wei family. Do you know every time I go to bed, my heart is with fear of what would happen if I failed to impress Wei tomorrow.”
”You're just a dog relying on the Wei family. Do you really think that you're somebody? So stop with your drama. If you want to help me then stay away from me as much as possible. I hate seeing your face.” Saying her piece, Wei Wan stomped off.
Kuai Hua could not believe her ears. Her body trembled as she sank to the floor. To avoid crying out loud, she bit her fist and muffled her tears.
Her daughter's resentment was increasing day by day. Kuai Hua only wanted to be a mother that doted on her daughter unconditionally. During Wei Wan's childhood days, she could not spend time with her, but now that her daughter was older, she still wasn't able to spend time with her.
Why was her fate so cruel? She never received her parents' love. ...never received love from the man that she gave herself to, and now, her daughter would never accept her love. Life was truly cruel.
-----With Wei Wan----
Wei Xing would never allow Wei Wan to use the Wei's transportation, so she had to call for a ride every time she wanted to go out.
