Chapter 103 - Pick Up, Damn It (1/2)
-----Silence for a minute----
The car flipped upside down in the middle of the road. When everything stopped there was only the sound of something dropping to the ground, similar to how water drips down from above.
The car had flipped so many times that Yue Xiang had become disoriented before he even sustained the concussion that had him drifting in and out of consciousness. He was fleetingly aware of the taste of blood in his mouth. He could feel it grazing his teeth and soaking his tongue. He felt an ache in every inch of his body. On each blow, he felt like rocks were burrowing into the skin. Suddenly his eyelids fluttered and he thought, ”Yu...e W...an! W..a...!”
He didn't have the energy to utter a word, but he gazed to his left and saw her unconscious.
Now the car was upside down, she had both hands touching the roof of the car. There was a bruise mark on her head with blood dripping down from her face.
Yue Xiang lifted his trembling hand to touch her face while murmuring, ”W..an, Ar..e__”
”Blargh...” He splats out some blood before he could finish the word.
----At the same time with Xiao Hua---
While returning from Xiao, Xiao Hua hacked into the surrounding CCTV cameras near Yue Wan's location and enjoyed her cute reaction. Feeling her gaze towards the CCTV camera, he chuckled, 'She never fails to surprise me.'
Then he went to a dilapidated building in the middle of a dark forest as his dark guard called him in urgent.
But when he arrived there, his eyes widen in disbelieve, with a hoarse voice, ”What happened?”
The dark guard who came to receive him revealed, ”This morning, she blurted something about the money and where it was being kept in safekeeping. However, before we could interrogate more, she fell into a fit. You ordered us not to let her die, so I went to call your personal doctor. But. ...”
”Did she die?”
”No,” after saying it he opened that room's door.
Inside they were hit with the smell of blood. In the middle of the darkened room, there was the chair where Lu Jia was held to, broken and the rope that held her down was cut and laying on the floor.
There was a trail of blood on the floor from the broken chair to a dark corner to the right. As Xiao Hua moved closer to the corner, the dark guard opened a screen to let the light in. ...
On the floor with her head facing the edge, Lu Jia's lifeless body was laying with her back and her eyes glazed up, wide open. Both of her hands were placed on either side in a straight line with cuts on the palm.
The dark guard divulged with a frightening voice, ”I had left the room for about 5 minutes and when I came back, I found her cru. ...” He was stuttering in dread.
”Crucified.” The loud voice Xiao Hua completed it.
The underlings of the Xiao family have tortured and killed their enemies in many gruesome ways, but they had never seen anything like this.
The blood that was coming from the slit neck was still fresh and warm. The killer must have arranged her body into the crucifixion position after her death.
Xiao Hua knelt down near the body and used his pen to move her head to get a better view, ”Check out who came in and out of the forest. And don't forget to find someone to clean the blood on both her cheeks and necks. ... Something is written in it.”
The dark guard saluted and replied: ”Yes, Prince.”
Xiao Hua knew that she had various bruises on her face which were done by his underlings, but they never used a sharp knife.
Taking a closer look at both her cheeks, Xiao Hua studied a plus mark with a letter written over it.
”R and C.” He murmured.
This place was a very secured one and there was no way for anyone to find out the location, and yet someone did. Someone stronger and more powerful than the Xiao family!
Out of frustration, he fizzed, ”S**t.”
----Back to accident---
'Hack...Hack.'
