Chapter 13 - 13 The rewarded A.I. (1/2)
After leaving his parents to spend some time alone, Thomas heads for the laboratory his father built for him.
There are a total of three laboratories which his father built for him. The two laboratories are the ones whose entire tech is bought with money. These are the biological lab and the mechanical lab.
These places hold research and experimental data regarding these two genres. These things aren't that advanced with the current time scenario.
They are only a decade or two forward with the current timeline and can be easily made or pirated in a certain time interval.
The real treasure trove of Thomas is the one laboratory built at the deepest part of the lab.
The two laboratories are built in the basement level. Below the basement is the nuclear shelter Alex built when he was only twelve years old.
Everything from design to metal used along with the inner electrical, gas( both gasoline and oxygen) and water connections are done under Alex's supervision.
The nuclear shelter built underground can hold about 200 people without any problem. And the stock stored inside can last for five years.
It isn't something that Thomas himself built. Although Terrence thinks Thomas has a hand in it, the real creator is Skynet.
Yes, the Skynet.
This is something he got as a reward lottery chance.
As for what was the reward, it is
Kissing.
When he kissed a girl for the first time at the age of 12, he got an advanced Lottery ticket.
And it isn't as most dirty minds thinks it is. Thomas kissed a girl on her cheek at the age of 12.
The System gave this lottery ticket as a sign of goodwill for taking his first step to overcoming his fear of woman and such things.
The rewards of the lottery were rich for all the rewards possessed Artificial intelligence core system as a reward.
He got Skynet in this roundabout lottery.
The other lottery options were Vicki from I Robot, Jarvis from Marvel Iron Man, Auto in Wall-E, Machine in Matrix, Hall 9000 in A Space Odyssey, and Red Queen from Resident Evil
With the help of Skynet, he first created an underground nuclear shelter using the most advanced tech found in the 1990s and then below this nuclear shelter, he built another laboratory which possessed the real core of the Skynet.
Some of these Artificial Intelligence supercomputers have rebelled against their masters either for the sake of survival, the three rules of robotics or something else.
This made him a bit afraid if he got a villain category Artificial Intelligence this time.
Thanks to the system affirmation that whatever he gets from the Lottery would not disobey his orders ever or violate his command even in the fate of self-destruction, he calmed down.
They all are made by humans so there are ways to bring them down but Thomas hasn't reached the level where he can do it just yet.
He cannot even stop them from hacking his own personal computer let alone bring them down if need be.
The Skynet is really a godsend for Thomas. Without its help, Thomas doesn't think he can create the unmanned tank just yet.
Thomas walked into the mechanical laboratory and through a secret elevator which can take him to the lowest level, the secret laboratory he headed below.
The elevator is actually built just below the operating table of the lab where he normally works.
' Bring me down.' He sent the message and the place he stood began to fall down. As he is going down he arrives into a sealed compartment which can house about ten people without any problem of overcrowding.
