Chapter 2 - 2 POPULARITY SYSTEM AND LOTTERY (1/2)
” What? What the hell is this going on?” He utters in shock upon hearing the sound of the system.
Fortunately, system was an Advanced intelligence based system instead of just inquiry and command operated one. So it answered Thomas's doubt without any problem.
[Dear host, I am the Popularity System. I am a fragnant of your ideas and views and powered and gifted by the Creator himself, am tasked to serve you in your next life which is this one.]
His answer confused him even more and he asked, ” What do you mean by that? What gift by the Creator?”
[ Because of your good deeds and your accidental transmigration in this dangerous world, the Creator has powered me with your imagination and those movies you saw in your past life.
The system can offer you a lot of powers to live your life. But, one cannot get everything without any difficulty. It goes against the views by which he created this world. So, he set up a parameter.
In the past world, you are a shy person with stage fright. You cannot stand the gaze of people and will act nervously.
So the parameter he set for you is to overcome that weakness of yourself. Based on that, The Popularity System is formed for you.
The system possess various functions but it will only be utilised by you after you gain a certain popularity.
The higher the popularity and exposures to the people of the world and universe as a whole, the greater gifts you will get.
Try to be in focus of the people more. This way the popularity point will accumulate faster. For every ten people thought about you or spoke about you, a popularity point will be generated.
Although Thomas understood everything, but he was still a bit scared. He has stage fright for majority of his life in the past and he starts to shake nervously in front of people. This psychological fear cannot be overcome in a day's time.
But to get the higher chances of survival in this dangerous world, he must overcome this innate fear of his or he will only die.
After collecting his thoughts, he asked the system, ” So do you have any status window or anything like that?”

He was puzzled by the last sentence and asked,” What does that last sentence mean?”
The host start to give the answer with a real life example. [ Let's take intelligence as an example. The intelligence of an average person is 10. Smart people have 15. Genius have 20. Super genius have 25 and finally a millennium genius has over 25 intelligence.
If you take someone you know, let's take Tony Stark from marvel as an example, he is a genius in physical engineering, mechanics and aerodynamics. But his intelligence is below 25.
If it was higher than that, then he will also be a medical genius too. He will be a great doctor too. He will have treated his scrapel in his ċhėst on his own.
Thomas nodded in understanding and suddenly something sparked him. He feel like he was cheated so he spoke out angrily, ” And what about the other things which a normal system gives. You know a novice gifts which is a epic level object very helpful in growth. ”
The system didn't reply him for sometime and after that buzzed and said in the emotionless voice, [The Popularity system is officially started.
