Chapter 113 - Yun Shang and Moon Slaughter. (1/2)
Arifureta Universe.
In a great Japanese-style mansion, the sound of people rushing in and out could be heard. Many people of all ages, mostly above teenage and below 50, could be seen running in and out with loads of papers in their hands.
Even an idiot could tell that they were busy with something.
Inside the main office of the mansion, a young man that looked to be in his 20's was sitting behind the piles of papers, waiting to be sorted out.
His silver eyes – filled with grievance because of the papers – synchronizing it over and over.
Finally finishing the final paperwork of today, the young man throws them at the side of the table. A groan of misery left his mouth as he slumped back at the chair.
Letting his neck rest at the back of chair, his eyes fell upon the ceiling of the office – something that he has been seeing since the time he took his current post.
”…Ugh…I want to take a break…” A slightly annoyed voice left his mouth as his mind wanders to the time he first met his savior and currently known as his employer.
Remembering his past, which seems to amuse the young man as to how childish he was – a chuckled left his mouth.
”It's all that damned Wang Lei's fault! Dammit! What prestigious job?! It's the same as me being a government slave!”
Shaking his head to remove the resentment he was feeling towards his employer, the young man's eyes fell back on the hateful mountain of papers. He wondered if he will be freed from his 'imprisonment' soon enough or not.
”In the first place, why the fuċk am I doing all the work when he is enjoying his time with his wives? He even took the only other Vice-Guild Leader, and now I am left to take care of the whole massive organization that has fuċkɨnġ two worlds under it!”
Throwing his fit, a sigh left his mouth, deflating all his anger as if never existed.
”System! Get me connected with Guild Master.” He said, seemingly to no one.
[Ding! Commencing a call with Guild Master!]
Soon, the young man could hear a mechanical voice reverberate inside his head – informing him that his call was being connected.
”Yo! Little Hajime! How have you been?” A lazy voice was heard through the other side of the communication, making a tick mark appear on the young man – Hajime.
”How have I been? Why don't you ask that question to yourself and think how I've been? I mean, at this point I should be calling you Little Wang Lei since, basically, I am the only one taking care of the guild that you have created!” Hajime's voice rose to another level, informing his employer of his grievance.
”…” The other side seems to go silent for some time as if contemplating something.
After what seems to be five minutes, Wang Lei spoke, ”…So, you want a break?”
Hearing it, Hajime angrily stood up from his chair – making it fall – and particularly yelled, shaking the interior of the office, ”Break?! I don't want something that will only end up increasing my work after! I want a hand! Someone to share my burden!”
”…Then you should check tinder or something, why call me? Did you got tired of Kaori?” The young dragon asked with disappointment laced in his voice.
Hajime was at the breaking point of destroying everything around him, one could already see cracks appearing everywhere as the energy of the Divine Soul Realm engulfed the whole mansion.
”I.AM.NOT.IN.THE.MOOD.OF.JOKES!!!” Hajime yelled at top of his lungs. At this point, he did not care and wanted to smack the head of Wang Lei with all his might.
”Hai~, calm down man, I get it. You want another Vice-Guild Leader to work with, right? Right now, I cannot send Cang Yue as I am spending my time with her…” with a slight pause in his voice, Wang Lei spoke, ”How about this? Why don't you come to my place? We can go to another world to get a Vice-Guild Leader who can work with you.”
Hajime seems to calm down as he heard Wang Lei speaking. After thinking for a while, he nodded and replied, ”Alright. I will be at your place in a day.”
”Great! Then I will be waiting. Also, if you really want your 'burden' to be relived, you should try it out…you know what I mean, righ-”
Getting annoyed, Hajime cut the call as he again slumped back at his chair.
'Dammit…I should not have accepted his offer back then…” Thought Hajime as his eyelids fall, indicating that he has fallen asleep.
---
Before the time when Wang Lei left for God Realm.
At the summit of a giant mountain near the Floating Cloud City, a man – looking to be in his early twenties, with ŀustrous long silky black hair – was laying on the ground wasted.
His snoring could be heard by the nearby beast, but, strangely, none dared to go towards the man as if afraid of dying.
With a gentle rustle of the wind, shaking nearby leaves, the man ġrȯȧnėd.
”…Ugh…what is with my head… it hurts like hell.” The man said, gripping his head tightly as he rolled on the ground, hitting the bottles of alcohol laid beside him.
After gripping his head for some time, he finally left it and sat on the ground, ruffling his messy hair.
”Ah~, that really was the best alcohol I have drunk since the time of birth. Damn! I wonder where did master got his hands on such heavenly stuff.” The man thought, remembering the taste of the alcohol called <Ambrosia>. He could not help but sigh at the effect of the drink. He was a Primordial Entity that was free of all constraints of the world, and yet this drink seems to bound him.
'sigh~, anyway…I think I should go and check the devil region now.' The man – Moon Slaughter – thought before standing up and vanishing from his place.
---
After traveling for a week, Moon Slaughter finally made it to the Northern Devil Region. He could not help but feel sad at the destiny of his brethren and their descendants.
In the past, half of God Realm was under their control and now, it does not even compare to the other Divine Regions in its size.
After taking a close to everything, he started to fly inside the black miasma that was covering the whole Northern Divine Region.
If it was another person, his cultivation would have decreased, and his body would have started to get affected by the dense, Dark Profound Energy. But that was not the case with this Primordial Devil that kept going without any form of hindrance.
As he was flying, Moon Slaughter's eyes fell upon a woman, who was carrying a girl – seemed to be of 7-8 – in her hands. She seems to be running from something, evident from the grave wound on her ċhėst.
Moon Slaughter stooped and gazed at them with interest. He did not know why he did that, but he just had the feeling of doing it. Maybe he was bored?
He saw as two-man followed after the woman and intercepted her, stopping her from running. The woman looked towards them with a fierce look as if to devour them alive and yelled, ”Stay away from me! If you even come closer to me, I will make sure to kill you all at expense of my life!”
