Chapter 5 - First Day at the Academy Pt 1 (1/1)

Mizuki woke up to the sound of Iruka pounding against his door. ”Come on Mizuki, were gonna be late!”. Right. Mizuki completely forgot that he was reincarnated.

Regardless of which world he is in, Mizuki cannot escape the dangers of oversleeping. ”I will be out in five!” He called back to Iruka before quickly getting ready.

Truth be told, he still couldn't one hundred percent believe it. After all, he just got a get out of jail free card from his shitty life and into the Naruto world. Regardless of which character he was.

After five minutes passed Mizuki quickly busted out the door and rushed to The Academy in a hurry, not wanting to be late on his first day. Unfortunately, They had not been taught how to Chakra Run in The Academy yet as they had only been there for two weeks.

Noticeably, Mitzuki ditched the Bandana that he used to wear everywhere. He also noticeably had cut his hair from it's former length to now about his chin. It was also noticeably spikier compared to before; more reminiscent of the haircut Mizuki uses in his ȧduŀthood.

(A/N: Seriously guys, have you seen kid Mizuki, his hair & clothes looks so weird)

Just as the bell was about to ring, Mizuki slid into class and took a seat next to Iruka. ”I thought you were gonna be late!” Iruka said in a panicked voice. ”So did I and yet I was somehow able to make it on time” ”eh?” ”It's fine.”

From what he had seen on his way to class, most of the jonins in the series were in the class that was a year above his. It truly was unnerving to see how a young Kakashi and Guy were reacting to one another. Even more so when he saw Obito glancing at Rin out of the corner of his eye with a light blush on his face.

Adding the matter of interacting with them all later on, all of the talking began to die down when their instructor entered the room. A chunin who didn't appear in the show. And clearly a Hyuga judging by his eyes. ”Welcome back to Period 1: Genjutsu, today we are going to talk about...”

Mizuki filtered out what the chunin was saying as he started to finally make a plan for himself. ”So, I already know about the training method for the rasengan which would probably become my main attack”. ”Before that I should probably practice my chakra control by water walking and tree climbing” ”But, my first step should probably be to find out what my elemental affinities are, I will buy chakra paper after school to test things out.”

The chunin continued to lecture the students on the rest of the basics of genjutsu before glancing at the clock. ”oh! time is up! meet me in the courtyard in five minutes to start taijutsu!” immediately after finishing his sentence, our teacher vanished causing the entire class to go up in arms.

After his brief chat with Iruka, Mizuki got up and rushed to the training ground in the academy. The instructor forced them to do basic exercise for the majority of the time. Running around a track, pushups and situps. The instructor finally did something taijutsu related when there was twenty minutes left in the period by starting to teach the kids how to properly throw a basic punch.

Lunchtime rolled around after what felt like an eternity to Mizuki. Asking his instructor after class ended, Mizuki discovered that they wouldn't be moving on to anything practical for the next few weeks. This fact alone made Mizuki want to strangle somebody but unfortunately, he was nothing more than an above average five year old. Not even a jutsu to his name.

Thinking again about how he should handle things, Mizuki came to the conclusion that he should talk to some off his classmates besides Iruka. He was pretty sure that there was nobody else relevant to the plot but genin teams had three members so it would serve Mizuki well to know at least a few of his classmates.

Glancing around, Mizuki noticed that besides Iruka there was also Ibiki Morino who happened to be in his class. He didn't recognize him at all, not having any scars and all.

Besides those two however, there was still one more person in his class who he recognized. A person who had the potential to become one of the most powerful characters in the series if not for his untimely death, the aforementioned Shisui of the Body Flicker.
