Su Kuang had told them to eat whatever they craved. It was clear, though, that for Hong Xiaofu and Sheng Xiaoling it did not matter what they ate as long as they were full.
”Thank you for thinking about us,” Hong Xiaofu smiled as he expressed his gratitude. ”We do not need much. You have invited us to dinner, and you even came to pick us up!”
Su Kuang had already heard about Hong Xiaofu's matters from his daughter, Su Ying. He had been able to ascertain that Hong Xiaofu was a cheerful boy with a good personality. He said with a smile, ”You are considered part of the family! You are my daughter's deskmate, I have heard about you from her. I have been wanting to meet you, but I could not find a good chance to do so. It is a rare occasion that you and Ying have Awakened together. Please take care of her in the future. I heard that your ability is... to make others kneel?”
Hearing that, Hong Xiaofu was speechless. How did he even Awaken with such an ability… how could he even be taken seriously?
”I do not know how I ended up with such an ability,” Hong Xiaofu hesitated before admitting to it, ”But I have Awakened. And it's always better to have one.”
”Ha! That is a great mentality.” Su Kuang immediately smiled, ”When you are content, you will generally have a better mood. Yesterday, I bumped into the city's head and heard from him that they will be organizing an Awakeners' training session before your graduation. The training will involve the student Awakeners from all high schools across the city. As you know, Ying will be there too, please keep an eye out for her.”
Actually, Su Ying would be the one caring for Hong Xiaofu. Still, it was more comfortable for Su Kuang to ask Hong Xiaofu to care for his daughter.

As they chatted, they arrived at the doors of the luxurious Shencheng Hotel. Restaurants occupied the basement and first floor of the hotel. The second floor sported a fitness centre, while on the third floor were bathing and leisure facilities; on the fourth floor, a nightclub; and lastly, the guest rooms were located between the fifth and the sixteenth floor. The entire hotel occupied 30,000 square meters, for a total of 660 guest rooms. There was an outdoor swimming pool at the back of the hotel. By looking at it, one could tell how well off Zhao Ming's family really was.
Zhao Ming was already waiting at the gate. When he saw the guests alighting, he quickly stepped forward to greet them, ”Sir, you are here! Please come in quickly!”
He gestured everyone in. One of the doormen offered to park the vehicle while the group walked into the hotel. Su Kuang said with a smile, ”Zhao Ming, I haven't seen you in a long time! You still look the same, always full of smiles!”
”Thank you, sir, for the compliment!” Zhao Ming replied cheerfully. ”I am in a good mood! Look at our dear Mascot here—he is not worried, so I don't have to worry either!”
He walked in front of the group and led the way. As he was the heir of the hotel, all the employees on the first floor recognized him. When they saw him, they immediately stood up to greet him, ”Good evening, sir!”
”Very well. You can go ahead with your duties!” Zhao Ming nodded in satisfaction as he led the group downstairs. It was Hong Xiaofu and Shen Xiaoling's first time visiting such a luxurious place. Although they were extremely nervous, they did not let it show to not embarrass their classmates. As they walked through the hotel, Shen Xiaoling held onto Hong Xiaofu's hand tightly. Judging from her damp palm, she was actually very nervous.
Hong Xiaofu shook her hand and whispered, ”It's alright, they are on our side.”
They were indeed on the same side. His relationship with Zhao Ming did not need to be explained. Zhao Ming saw Shen Xiaoling's nervousness and immediately ordered the waiters, ”All of you, listen up! I have invited a few distinguished guests here today! There are my classmates. Please serve them well, and I will tip you guys at the end of the day!”
