17 The World Was Going To Change Drastically! (1/2)
”Brother Fu! Please, look out for me!” Zhang Yang was afraid that Hong Xiaofu had not understood him. He quickly walked over to him and said, ”You know there will be a big crowd, make sure to restrain your power, control it. If not, I'll be in trouble!”
”Oh, what would I do?” Hong Xiaofu had not yet figured out how his power was supposed to work. He naturally answered, ”No worries, just take the test. I'll just be watching from the side, okay?”
”Okay.” Zhang Yang put his hand on Hong Xiaofu's shoulders and gave him a thumbs up, ”I was waiting for you to say that. I'll treat you to a meal when I have time!”
After convincing Hong Xiaofu, Zhang Yang felt relieved. Although Hong Xiaofu was not exactly on his side, he had good credibility. If he said that nothing would happen then there was a high chance that it would really be fine. He could be at ease.
”Everyone is here, right?” The mysterious man standing beside Principal Liang adjusted his gold-framed spectacles and spoke, ”Let me introduce myself. I am from the Awakeners Ability Center and I am the Director of the High School Department. My name is Han Feng. The purpose of my visit today is to help you assess your Awakening potential. Are you all okay with that?”

Hong Xiaofu and the rest immediately understood what was going on. No wonder Principal Liang was attending to him the whole time! It is a must to receive any guests from the Awakeners Ability Center respectfully. It was safe to say that the most popular sectors in the world were all related to the Awakeners. Even the Mayor has to receive Han Feng respectfully.
”Understood.” Zhang Yang enjoyed being in such a setting. He enthusiastically said, ”So Director Han, when can we begin?”
Director Han took out a small notebook and glanced at Zhang Yang before saying, ”Zhang Yang, 19 years old. Awakener of the Strengthening System with an Integrated Constitution, current gene sequence of LV1, score of 3.14%. Is that right?”
When Zhang Yang heard this he smiled and replied, ”My score is at 3.15% now, Director Han.”
”Oh? That's great.” Director Han giggled and said, ”It increased a little these past few days then. Alright, you shall go first.” He called a sports teacher over and said, ”Let's start with the one hundred meters run. I'll collect data.”
The physical education teacher immediately took out a stopwatch and said, ”Sure, no problem.”
They prepared. Zhang Yang was getting ready at the starting line while all the teachers and students were watching from the side.
”He is going to run soon. Come to think of it, I'm really not sure of how fast an Awakener can run!”
”This is to test potential as well, right? I read online that one Awakener with an Integrated Constitution has completed the run in eight seconds.”
”Oh my god, eight seconds! Isn't the world record just slightly above nine seconds?”
”To be exact, the current world record holder is the famous Usain Bolt, from Jamaica. On the 17th of August 2009 in Berlin, Germany, he set a record of 9.58 seconds for the one hundred meters run.”
”Oh my god, are the Awakeners really that fast?”
Listening to the commotion of the students around him, Zhang Yang smirked and raised his eyebrows.
After being Awakened, he had indeed completed such tests before. He had set a record of 7.52 seconds the previous time. Now that the Director was around, he would put on a great performance and aim to complete the run under 7.5 seconds.
”Get ready!” The physical education teacher raised his hands up high before swinging it downward sharply as he shouted, ”Go!”
