The couple did not understand the meaning of the Demerol at all. They thought that was some pain killer. So, they could not understand the real meaning behind Yu Qi's statement.
”Demerol is a red prescription painkiller. Its effects and mechanism are to those of morphine. It's equivalent to 1/10-1/7 of morphine. Long-term use will result in addiction, and it's classified as a strictly controlled narcotic drug.” Yu Qi explained.
The father caught the last word. 'Drug.' He was shocked.

So, the hospital called the police to take away the man. After 15 minutes, the police came and arrested the man. As expected, the man wanted to run away since he saw the police. However, he could not run away. So, he ended up taking by the police.
The man did not sick at all. He just wanted to cheat some Demerol from the hospital for his drug addiction.
