”Ha!” Jiang Chuan shouted loudly, exerting all of his strength!

Yet the axe on the ground did not move at all!

”Oh my god!” ”Why is it so heavy!” Jiang Chuan used all his strength, but the axe did not move at all!

”You're so young, if you could lift this axe, that would be weird! When you're eighteen! Perhaps it was about time! ”It's too early now,” said the old man, putting the axe back on his back.

Jiang Chuan hung his head in dejection and followed the old man.

”You don't have to be depressed. When you are eighteen years old, after the coming of age ceremony, if you are still unable to lift this axe, then it would not be too late to be sad.” The old man said.

When Jiang Chuan heard this, his eyes lit up and he immediately jumped up and down to catch up with the old man.

In the deep morning, there was a hazy fog surrounding the forest. In the middle of the forest, colorful birds fell to the ground to peck at the leaves. Under the thick layer of fallen leaves, the insects' rustling noises could be heard, and in the dark green bushes, there were poisonous snakes that were quietly hibernating, waiting for their prey to come to them.

When the grandfather and grandson entered the mountain, it was as if they alarmed some birds and beasts as they all began to run away with their wings or their hooves.

”Ai, the smell of blood on my body is too strong. These little birds and little beasts are somewhat afraid of me.” The old man sighed.

Jiang Chuan had once heard his grandfather say that the smell of blood was an odor formed after killing countless birds and beasts. Ordinary people wouldn't be able to see this kind of smell, and only those birds with keen sense of smell would be able to smell it or sense it.

At the edge of this mountain, the grandfather and grandson duo naturally could not catch their prey. Only by entering deep into the mountains would they be able to find them.

A spotted elk was nibbling on the leaves of a bush when an arrow came piercing through the air with a swoosh!

The sound had alarmed the elk, and although a wild animal like the elk couldn't do anything, its reaction speed was extremely fast!

Almost at the same instant that the sound of breaking air rang out, the moose leapt high into the air!

But this time, the elk didn't seem to matter, it actually bumped into that arrow!

The arrow was not aimed at a deer, but at the top of the deer! At a glance, it was not an arrow that was shot at the deer, but rather the deer itself that had hit the arrow!

”That's right!” You have made great progress. You actually managed to hit something that's so hard to kill with a single strike from an elk! ”Looks like I didn't teach you in vain.” Behind the bushes, two heads slowly rose. Who else could it be other than the grandfather and grandson duo?

Jiang Chuan held the horned bull bow in his hand. Because the bowstring was still vibrating due to the power exerted just now, that crafty arrow had been shot by this ten-year-old youth!

When Jiang Chuan heard his grandfather's praise, he scratched his head and said with a smile, ”These were all taught to me by my grandfather.”

Then the old man cut a piece of wood the size of a fist, peeled it clean, hung the elk on its tip, stood it on the ground, and sprinkled a ring of phosphorous powder around it.

The purpose of this was to prevent the other wild beasts from eating this elk. Phosphorus powder was an excellent protective material.

The grandfather and grandson duo tidied up the deer, packed up their tools and continued to walk towards the depths of the mountain.

”There are powerful wild beasts in the depths of this mountain, even I cannot capture them. Most of them have never seen anyone, let alone fear them. If you go in by yourself in the future, you must be careful of those beasts with bloodshot eyes. They are most likely vicious beasts, and they eat meat with extreme fierceness.”

Jiang Chuan nodded his head as he deeply engraved this common sense into his heart. In the future, whenever he met a wild beast, he would just avoid it.
