Chapter 921 - Goodbye, Jiahang (1/2)

He Xiyan looked at the string of messages and tapped open her keyboard but she found that she could not type a single word.

She finally chose to turn off her phone and threw it into her bag.

She didn’t dare to respond to his messages for fear that she would start to waver after making up her mind to leave him. She was afraid that she would rush out of this airport to return home to be with Jiahang.

She could no longer be with him and this was something she realized the moment she regained her memories. She didn’t want the conflicts that plagued her marriage with Ye Hao to play out in the Gu family once again.

She didn’t want to get married again, neither did she wish for her children to grow up without their mother.

She had left so quickly because she was afraid that she would waver and that she would give in to her inner desires to make a decision that she would regret for the rest of her life.

She heard the announcement that her flight was ready to board.

He Xiyan slowly rose to her feet and her silhouette under the lamplight was extremely long. Then, she dragged her large suitcase and queued to get her flight ticket checked, and boarded the flight bound for Ye City.

Her flight took off.

He Xiyan looked down through the window and quickly saw the small houses, winding roads, and even saw the residential district where she resided with Jiahang.

He Xiyan placed her right hand against the window when she saw the house that she was so familiar with.

“Goodbye, Jiahang,” she whispered soundlessly. She blinked and her eyes filled with tears once more. Tears soon streaked down her cheeks.

Her mind was suddenly filled with many memories and scenes of the past.

She had arrived at this beautiful mountain village without any memories of her past three years ago, during spring. Then, a man who couldn’t speak had purchased her to be his bride and he would often give her the best parts of every dish and every cent of his hard-earned money. He was poor, foolish, and mute, but he would give her the best he could and she was everything to him. This man was also the man she had spent the happiest moments of her life with.
