Chapter 251: One sided beat down (1/2)

”You are dumb...” Derik yawned as he pulled out the blazing spear in his chest and gazed at it for a while. He had the urge to destroy this weapon but then he remembered his future plans of reviving two of his most trusted allies, Kaido the former sun god, and Demos the former death guardian spirit. The spear will make a fine weapon for Kaido so Derik chose to keep it!

His shadow expanded and he let the spear fall, watching it sink into his shadow and vanish.

Igneel and the rest watched in shock as the hole on his chest began closing at an alarming rate! In just mere seconds the wound was completely healed and spotless, the only problem was the hole on Derik's mage robe.

”You running my robe little boy... How do you plan to pay for it?” Derik asked with a slight smile on his face!

Hearing this Igneel felt chills run down his spine and he quickly jumped on his feet and took a few steps back. Gazing at the terrified kid, Derik didn't know what to do now. He wanted to kill this kid but not this way.

”What the hell are you?!!” Igneel growled and Derik frowned.

Does this little brat dare yell at him?

”I already said I have lived for more than a thousand years... So guess” Derik said with a cruel smile.

”Humans don't have such a life span, only dragons do! If you are not human or a dragon, what are you?” Igneel asked.

”No, no, no... You have got it all wrong... Humans are born with short life spans but when they get stronger, their life spans increase” Derik explained.

”Cut the crap! Even when they get stronger they cannot reach that level or live that long unless they enter the go... No way” Igneel muttered as his body was overwhelmed with shock and his feet trembled!

Only humans who have reached the god realm can live this long! How the hell did he end up facing a god?

No! But a god should be stronger than this!

But a god shouldn't be able to stand on this plane of existence unless...

God's descent was used on someone!

He was going up against a god!

Numerous thoughts flooded the youngling's head and Derik just watched in silence and let the kid come up with countless assumptions. He couldn't help but laugh in his heart but then he still wore a cold face on the surface.

”Don't tell me I am going against a god?” Igneel said with a wide smile that made even Derik confused.

Is this kid crazy or what? He is forced to face a godly being like him, yet he is not terrified, instead, he is happy.

”You are crazy... I like it” Derik said with a slight smile on his face.

In his opinion, Igneel would make a perfect host for his friend, Kaido and he would also need to find a perfect host for Demos. If he wants to progress faster, he needs more capable men by his side and not just Lucien. There is a limit to what both of them can do.

”I guess I won't be able to deal with you now” Derik sighed after he realized he can't afford to kill this kid now.
