Chapter 7 - Aftermath (2/2)

Yes...I was...

A month later....

Mom was discharged from the hospital a week later.

The wrecked parts of the exploded plane was found from the ocean...But none of the bodies were to be found.

I find this hopefully....there is still a chance...

Even thought the official declaration was that the bodies were eaten.

We still held a funeral for him...

Uncle David helped a lot.....He must be a busy man . Still doing so much for us.

I haven't slept peacefully since that day...

When I close my eyes all I see is his face.

I didn't even say goodbye to him...What a great son i am....

I really let him down huh...

Right now I'm in a nearby gym.....I come here the nights i can't sleep.

Punching the bags are good to went out frustration and stress...

”THUD THUD thud thud...”

Ignoring the sore fists and fatigued body i continued hitting.....

”Can't sleep....?” I turned around hearing someone behind me...

”Why did you came here...” i asked uncle david who was standing by the door.

”Your mom said you had trouble sleeping and was sneaking around in the nighttime...”

”Tony do you think he would have wanted this....Punching a bag all night wasting your potential...”

”Yeah....like I was better before. All I did was while like a bitc..”

”Language..”

”Sigh.....”

”All I have to say is that , now he's gone , you're all your mother has.....you can't make worry about you too...”

”He's not....”

”What....?”

”he's not gone....They haven't found the body yet right....there's still hope....”

”Tony...you gotta let it go...you have to move on.....”

”Some do...

but not us... THUD.....” I said punching the bag and sent it flying.....

”Sigh.....” Sighing David left the boy alone to give him some time to clear his head....

Noticing that he's gone. I sat on the ground.

”Move on...huh...”

After sometime i grabbed my things and went out of the gym....There were already some people in the gym...

Looks like it's morning already.....

Walking towards home I bought a newspaper from a stall next to the walk and started reading it on a bench nearby....

”It's still going in the news even after one month....an attack this big and no

organization have taken responsibility.....”

I was in deep thought when a hand pressed on my shoulder.

”Hey... could I borrow the sports section...?”

It was a familiar man with white hair and wrinkles on his face.
