“Mm?” Salimu moved his chair forward. “What is it?”

Xiang Wan wanted to show him the earlier news she read only to find out that it was being deleted. Nonetheless, the content of the script was already being circulated all over the Internet.

She sighed ruefully, “This is the one. Are you able to find out where it came from?”

“Hmm… this seems difficult…” Salimu pretended to look grim and when he saw Xiang Wan looking grim as well, he immediately chuckled. “Don’t worry, just leave it to me.”

So he was actually pretending!

The detectives in Serious Crime Division One had been led astray by Quan Shaoteng.

Xiang Wan laughed then pursed her lips together. “By the way, why did you come and tell me about the deleted information?”

Salimu: “Isn’t it simple?”

“Mm?”

“Boss asked me to…”

She couldn’t refute him on this.

Xiang Wan took a look at the time on the laptop. “Where is he?”

Salimu: “He’s still inside the interrogation room.”

“Orh…”

Xiang Wan’s expression was grim again.

When they got back from Zhang Houfa’s villa, Bai Muchuan and the detectives brought Zhang Houfa to the interrogation room. They hadn’t had their lunch. Xiang Wan thought it would be a short interrogation but this dragged on till half-past one in the afternoon.

“He really knows how to make others worried!”

Xiang Wan was worried that one day, his health might not be able to take it.

After Salimu left, Xiang Wan also left her office as she wanted to check if Bai Muchuan was out from the interrogation room. After that, she went back to take her bag and left the office. She went to a restaurant nearby which Bai Muchuan liked and ordered a takeaway. After that, she sent him a message.

“Are you done? It’s two o’clock now. Do eat some food before you continue, alright?”

When she arrived at the office, she received Xie Wanwan’s message.

“Xiang Wan, I need your help.”

When she wrote about her plot outline, she also thought a lot about Xie Wanwan. Now that she suddenly saw her name, she was shocked out of reflex.

“What happened to you?”

“I’m outside Serious Crime Division One to assist in the investigations, But currently… I can’t come in.”

“What do you mean by that?” Xiang Wan didn’t understand.

“Aye!” Xie Wanwan’s tone was filled with helplessness. “The car park is filled with paparazzi. There’s also a group of haters, I’m not sure where they come from. They circled my car and are creating a ruckus. I’m scared and I don’t dare to get out of the car… Able to help me get two police officers down?”

She was asked to come in for questioning and was stuck in the parking lot outside Serious Crime Division One…

She felt obliged to help since she was also a member of Serious Crime Division One.

Xiang Wan took a look at her mobile phone. She hadn’t received any reply from Bai Muchuan as yet.

She hadn’t thought of who she could ask for help when she saw Tang Yuanchu in a distance…

Xiang Wan’s eyes lit up. “Detective Tang!”

“Mm?” Tang Yuanchu paused for two seconds. “Teacher Xiang, what’s up?”

“I need some help.” Xiang Wan directly showed him Xie Wanwan’s messages. “Let’s go down to the carpark. If she can’t get away from all those people, it would affect us too.”

Tang Yuanchu narrowed his eyes for a thought. “Let’s go!”

He adjusted his sleeves and took a look at his casual attire. When he saw Cheng Xin, he thought for a moment and called out to her.
